Back from an insanely insane jog - at four-thirty it's still 100 degrees.  Unbelievably unbelievable.  Well, must get some foodstuffs and sit on my couch like so much fish.

Or, you could get yourself some fish and sit on your couch like so much foodstuff?

Today's listening.
Nigel Kennedy plays Jimi Hendrix.
"The Kennedy Experience".

I didn't know that anyone ever played Jimi Hendrix.  That is kind of frightening.

Interesting approach to Hendrix but I prefer "The Doors Concerto" by Mr Kennedy.

Seattle's 5th Avenues Theatre is getting on the bandwagon, and doing the new version of WHITE CHRISTMAS (along with Mr. Barnum's BOMBAY DREAMS) next season.  Of course, all the photos they are using to promote the show are from the San Francisco production starring Kate Baldwin and Graham Rowat.

Here is a question: In 1776, does the actress who plays Mrs. Jefferson get paid as much as the actors who perform for the whole show?

Depending on your agent's deal and how badly the production wants you.

So far this show is exactly the same info as an Inconvenient Truth. Wonder if people will take it differently comming from Tom Brokaw?

My hot water heater is not giving me hot water.  It used to be very hot on "low". I've now turned it up to "hot" and it's just luke warm.   I'll wait until tomorrow and see how it is. The pilot light is on.

Speaking of Kate Baldwin, and TCB was doing so, she was simply splendid as Irene Molloy in the Paper Mill production of HELLO DOLLY, which I saw yesterday.

And Kate Bldwin has also played Martha Jefferson in 1776, at Ford's Theatre in D.C.

Ah, karaoke!  :)

I had never been to one of those karaoke places with the private/party rooms.  Quite a nice set-up.  Nothing fancy, but it was nice knowing that you were definitely going to get to sing rather than waiting and waiting and waitng for your turn.  And, I have to say, the singing talent in Room 5 last night was pretty decent.  -And I also stumbled up a Whitney Houston Medley that was a hoot!

After we had all joined in the final chorus of "New York, New York", we headed over to a bar called Sortie.  Neat place.  Dim "mood" lighting, lots of couches, pretty potent cocktails.  And it was after I had my cocktail - a martini that was made with pureed lychee fruit and a basil-infused vodka (quite yummy!) - that I "volunteered" to make brunch this morning. ;)
