-If you want to do a Page Dance, be my guest.  -It's already a little too hot and muggy here in NYC for any strenuous activity.

It's supposed to be this way until well into next week. It's an air conditioning night every night for the next few days.

Ugh!!!

I know it's worse in California but I'm not there so I don't care  ;)

Well I am in Montreal this weekend, but the there is a media check. I brought my portable dvd player on the plane and I watch coming up to MTL Buckaroo Bonzai and started to watch before the battery went out Master of the Flying Guillotine (aka The One Arm Box vs the Master Of The flying Guillotine.
Going back will be The Way of The Gun (from the guy who wrote Teh Usual Suspects) and if battery permits Relative Values with Julie Andrews.

Wasn't there a movie called The Buttefly Effect with the guy who married Demi Moore?

DRs TPunk and Jose, re: last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

OMG, first off did you guys see benji and heidi dance the night before? I'm curious to know what you thought of them.

And second, re: last night's elimination. I was shocked too. I think that everyone was expecting natalie to go home. I thought that heidi was safe for sure. And that it woudl be between donyelle and allison as to who else was in the bottom 2.

I think that donyelle's pairing with benji for all those shows really helped her popularity.

As for the men, i knew benji was safe. And i was sort of thinking that ivan might be more popular than travis (although i think travis is a better dancer). But i was pretty sure ryan was going home. He just did not have an outgoing personality.

But back to the shocker. I cannot believe that america voted out allison. She was so fantastic (and my favorite after benji and heidi). I really cannot understand what happened. :(

Good morning!

As DR Jose's weather report last night mentioned, it seems to be hot and humid up and down the East Coast. We certainly aren't getting out of the 90s for the entire weekend and on into next week with the same forecast each day - hot, muggy, and a chance of afternoon thundershowers.

The Butterfly Effect.

Isn't that when your zipper is stuck, and you use magarine to get your pants off?

Opening night vibes for MR BK and CO and DR JOSE.

Thanks for clarifying the spitting, DR FJL....my guess is the aiming is the key.  Although either part could become deadly if there is a backstage feud.

I know at some point this weekend I'm going to have to mow the front yard. I dread it in this heat, but it has to be done. The rain we had last week has made it grow just enough to need trimming. Bah!

Yes, Ashton Kutcher starred in THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT. I didn't see it, but I remember it got pretty bad reviews (though it did OK at the box-office, I think).

They are making a movie of SWEENEY TODD?

Supposedly yes with Johnny Depp as Sweeney. But I think it's just in pre-production.

I have seen MOST of those WML episodes, DRMBARNUM....and yes, Miss Dorothy seems to have been hitting the bottle on a couple of nights.  One appearance of Mr Bobby Darin is the worst I ever saw her.

I don't think it was any secret that Dorothy was an alcoholic and that she did do shows while inebriated.

I'm up, I'm up.  I wish I could sleep past eight o'clock, but that doesn't seem to be possible these days.  I'm just up at that hour (even earlier today) and that's that.  I did go to bed much earlier last night, so that's good.

A question for all you musical theatre mavens out there... -And I know there are a lot of you out there... ;)

Does anyone know if there is a breakdown of sorts listing the differences between the major versions of Cabaret?  Original 1966, the movie, the 1987, and the 1998 Sam Mendes versions - oh, and I guess even the London Wayne Sleep version in 1986(?).

I've been Googling away, and I'm coming across some info.  However, I'm just wondering if there's some book or guide out there listing the variations.

Friday greetings!  Not much to report here, except that my dentist's office told me this morning that a root canal as elaborate as the one I had on Tuesday may result in a week of discomfort.  Guess I'll keep taking the Advil  :P

TOD:  CD(car) - audiobook - Anne Tyler's Digging to America, which I should finish tomorrow.

DVD - NCIS, Season 1, Disc 1

Ooh Jennifer, I think it would have been a good idea to put spoiler alerts with your comments.  Here are my thoughts about the show- SPOILER ALERTS!!

Benji and Heidi dancing together were great, instant chemistry.  I was very surprised to see Alison go, but I agree with Jose's earlier comments that at this point in the competition, it will be sad to see anyone go.  I was expecting to see Donyelle in the bottom 2, she really got lucky in my opinion cause both her dances seemed just okay to me.  But again, at this point I feel like the only fair way to eliminate them would be to draw names out of a hat.  They are all great.

We show Brian Lane Green in the title of of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and he was very good....although my favorite Joseph were Sam Harris and Jason Donovan.

Hey, y'all.  Been wearing horse blinders all week and concentrating on a humungo project here at work.  Then been too fuzzy headed once I got home to even want to look at a PC.  Only one week to go to get to the finish line and then I'll hopefully get back to posting more.
