elmore: I've explained this recent rash of signups - it's because when I post the notes they are "pinged" to other sites - I don't know what that means (Bakalor explained it to me once and it went in one ear, did an about face, and exited - but it's built in the software to ping) and then those pingees come and register but don't even have a clew as to what they're registering for - many are from foreign countries - none come back.  The only "real" registered users of late are edisaurus and singingnymph, both of whom have joined our merry troupe.  When are you back in NY?  We open in less than four weeks, baby, and I believe you've got about seventeen numbers to orchestrate :-)  I also have the incindental music to send you, along with the way we did the military stuff at the end.

Somehow being designated a "real user" doesn't sound so bad when it comes from BK!

Is that like being a real boy? (Or real girl in my case?) With the part of Papa Geppetto played by Mr. Bruce himself?

I guess Crisco in pancake batter could work as an example!

Your pancakes would be even better if you substituted bacon fat for the Crisco - and you would be closer to doing a true interlarding!

der Brucer

I presume all good southern gals keep a can on the side of the stove for holding the bacon fat until needed.

My DH thinks it is the intermediary step in rendering pig fat: beyond bacon and soon to be suet. (He's so alliterative!)

That's the title of my next movie:

HOG-GALAXY TREK: BEYOND BACON AND ON TO SUET!

STRANGE INTERLARD is one of my favorite Eugene O'Meal plays.

It took over 3600 posts to sink this low

Speaking of lard, one of my favorite experiences of my teen years involved lard,

There is no way, NO WAY I SAY, I will tell tales of my favorite Crisco experiences

Edisaurus-
'Twasn't always thus, Edisaurus...I was just thinking today about the great record shops in Atlanta and wondering if any were still there, specifically Wax 'n' Facts in Little Five Points. That place used to be like Heaven to me.

And there used to be a great cinema for documentaries and more indy-style features called The Tara, but I think that closed a few years back.

So did I.

Thank you for the lovely comment Bruce! I am having a ton of fun working with you, and still learning new things

The party I "dragged" Bruce to the other night was for the Hispanic Holiday Dia de los muertos, or translated, Day of the Dead. It is to celebrate the lives and souls of those we love who have passed away, and they come back for the night to dance and revel and drink and be merry.

I am posting two pictures, this first one is of Bruce and I looking quite happy eating our tamales.

This is the alter that is dedicated to the souls of loved ones. One can bring a candle and a gift for the picture.

My fathers picture is circled in red.

Adriana you are so young to have lost your father, sorry.  I must have felt good to have his photo there.

Mr. Bruce, the info at
http://www.theatermania.com/content/show.cfm/show/125944
is different from the info at the myspace profile.

Am I correct in thinking that the myspace info is right?

It is SO nice outside. SPent a little time in the fresh air earlier this afternon. Not bitterly cold, so it was nice walking around in the fresh air and sunshine.

And the Friday matinee isn't listed on the theater mania site.

I did have time to watch some things this afternoon but not really what I was thinking I would.

I started with a CSI: NY episode about the death of a supermodel during a runway show. No, it wasn't Vincent from PROJECT RUNWAY who did her in. There were much more surprising motives to be uncovered.

I watched another CSI: NY episode, this one concerning CSI Danny being locked accidentally in a panic room with the dead body. I remembered this one very clearly from having seen it last season.

Reading about the latest attempts to have the HARRY POTTER books removed from school libraries put me in a mood for a HARRY POTTER film, so I put in the last one, THE GOBLET OF FIRE, and watched about thirty minutes of it.

Really am looking forward to THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX film late next spring.

Is this it?

UA TARA

Quote
The biggest fish in Atlanta's small pond of arthouses.

Nominated for Best Movie Theater for its indie appeal, this is the best place for local cinephiles to get their art-house fix. Cannes and Sundance favorites overshadow the occasional big-budget blockbuster. Tara was the first local theater to show "The Blair Witch Project." Old-fashioned, bare-bones equipment does just fine here--John Sayles' latest sually doesn't require DTS, THX or Dolby Digital.

Heading out now to install and calibrate my friend's new TV. I'm really excited for him to have HDTV in his home for the first time. Sad that the first HDTV program he'll get to watch if NFL football, but it won't be long until DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES tonight!

DR Elmore and I have been to the northern 'burbs of Cincinnati, where we saw Helen Mirren's The Queen.  We both enjoyed it immensely and discussed it all the way back to Middletown.  A delightful afternoon.

Not really Mr. Short - there are about six Jiminy Glicks on myspace.  The added matinee is mostly for high school students - I'm not sure it's open to the public.

Just proofed act one of the Alice and Emily CD - it sounds really good - I just have a few little nitpicky fixes.  I made some paper edits in dialogue and was able to find another minute we could take out of that act, but that means I'd have to get a little over four minutes out of act two and rather than go nuts trying to do that, I think I'll just make it two CDs and charge our usual special low two CD price of 22.98.  However, I think I'll do a "holiday" special - if ordered prior to 12/31, 19.98.
