I had a long phone conversation this afternoon or I could have gotten through four viewing experiences. Instead, I only had three complete ones with a half hour more of UNDERCURRENT, which is how I ended my afternoon viewing.

Poor Kate Hepbrun is just about to learn the truth of the identity of Michael Galloway, her brother-in-law.

I started my afternoon with last night's OLD CHRISTINE. Not one of the series better episodes, but Blair Underwood, who play's Christine's son's fourth grade teacher, is an astonishingly handsome man. He needs his own show!

Next up was CSI: MIAMI, the story of a decapitation which happened during some teenaged road "sideshows," as they're called. Pretty surprising murder and murderer.

Last night's JUSTICE had Matt Letscher and Mackenzie Astin as the guest stars as two suspects involved in the death of a woman. Again, I was really surprised at the identity of the murderer. Really flashy acting in this week's episode.

I have TARZAN'S DESERT MYSTERY cued up ready to go. It shouold be finished by the time the onslaught of 9 p.m. shows hits me. I've decided to watch LAW & ORDER: CI "live" tonight and record VERONICA MARS and HOUSE. nip/tuck is a new episode at 10, so I'll be watching it and saving the two recorded shows for tomorrow.

I shall now be on my way to LACC for a little powwow (wowwop, spelled backwards) and then rehearsal.  Lots of scenes to block today, but they're short and sweet and won't have much movement.

A sign of an imminent prison riot - con tension.

We do not have a bal nace.  Not every home should have one. Maybe it's a religious thing! Or possibly something likely to appear on one of Elmore's Cheaper videos.

What is a spirit picture?

You have a 1/4 sheet of white paper.  Hold it between the palms of your hands for one minute.

Then hold the paper over a burning candle making circular motions.  A smokey picture will appear....very unusual.

Whose spirit is supposed to be represented?

It depends, although it is usually your spirit guide or someone wishing to contact you....or a message for you.  ;D

Keep a bowl of water nearby so you don't burn your house down when the paper catches fire from the candle....

I sure hope George has his water-wings - the weather looks frightening.

Actually, the rain has died down quite a bit in my area, but then I'm not anywhere near flooding or mudslides or anything like that.

About that. I've seen it before, so it's not like I'm waiting with baited breath to finish it to see what happens. I keep getting DVDs and network TV that seem to get priority, but there isn't that much more of it to go.

After I watch TARZAN'S DESRT MYSTERY tonight, if there is time left over before 9 p.m., I'll put UNDERCURRENT back on.

So the bal nace is the miracle of the recurrence of Lucille Ball, namely Debra Messing.

Election Day greetings!  Voting was very smooth for me at 7:40am.  Someone just came into work the evening shift and said he'd had to wait in line for almost half an hour to vote.

I think all who are fed up with the negative campaign ads on TV should write their Senators and Congresspersons and request they consider passing a law forbidding political campaign ads on radio and TV from being anything other than about the candidates asking for our votes.

Most of the ads to which you object are not sponsored by the politicians running for office, they are "independent expenditures" by various political action committees. The McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill attempted to put strings on this sort of stuff, but the courts said no - Freedom of Speech. The interesting catcher is that a true political ad - i.e. "Vote for John Smith" can be controlled, but an "issue ad" -i.e. "Robert Doe  is stinky pinko homo and should not be a Senator" is permitted (it does not ask for a vote for a candidate ).

All attempts to regulate telephonic political solicitations have also run afoul of the courts.

Your best defense is to use a machine to screen all your calls - I do (and it drives my family nuts - an unanticipated added advantage). My journey to the next life will be delayed because when God calls, he'll have to leave a message!.

The really bad news is that history suggests that the most negative ads work their trick - ask Kerry about the Swift Boat Ads!
