How interesting.  Living in Indiana...well not many TV shows are filmed here...if any!  8)

"Close To Home" is loaded with shots of Indianapolis - that darn statue is in my lving room nearly every week.

Today on TCM 8 pm EST - Lucille Ball & Eddie Albert in THE FULLER BRUSH GIRL.  If you are a Lucille Ball fan and have not seen this movie, please watch.  Columbia Pictures, 1948....Lucy's career going nowhere, her days as a glamour girl fast fading....radio in the future...and a marriage on the rocks.

Frank Tashlin directing....and some of the funniest physical comedy Lucy got to do in a movie....and a drunk scene!

The one show that I've seen that is also about the city it takes place in is CSI.

Vegas is an integral part of the show...not just as a locale...but as part of the stories...things that happen in Vegas because it is Vegas....the people who work there, the people who visit or are drawn there...folks with problems that Vegas "feeds".

Well, in all fairness, it is not. But the exteriors shot there are used regularly and should please their C of C no end!

I always look up DR RLP.

The Indianapolis C of C is worried about nothing except the Colts and the Pacers...NOTHING.   8)  It is certainly uninterested in ANYTHING Arts related....fer sure.

Reading MOUSE TRACKS mentioned here last week...and noticing DR FRANCOIS's name in the acknowledgements as mentioned last week as well.  8)

Doesn't LIFE BEGINS AT 17 take place in Indiana? Paints a pretty picture of the state, I think. Looks a lot like Columbia's back lot.

Bye for now!

Despite all those reassurances that DR MattH has plenty to keep him occupied IF those long-awaited, fretted-over DVDs don't arrive today, I am almost certain he will feel a tad "bereft"....

;D

I do indeed! My DVDs did not come, and I am foaming at the mouth from anger and heartbreak.

DR derBrucer, that previous KING AND I was not an anamorphic transfer, and since I know you have a widescreen display, the new KING & I will have much better resolution than the previous DVD on your TV.

VERONICA MARS had the most entertaining episode of the season thus far in my estimation. Veronica was trying to prove her innocence after being accused of plagerizing a term paper, and her investigation led into all kinds of fascinating revelations.  The Keith storyline was also full of surprises.

This is a GREAT show!

In fact, in answer to DR MBarnum's earlier question, it isn't a film, of course, but this is the show that I started watching blind after its first season was over (during a series of CBS summer reruns), and now it's one of my absolute favorite shows.
