David Poliakoff?

Relative  Strangers
Shooting The Past
The Lost Prince

The best writer for TV since Dennis Potter IMHO

Stephen Poliakoff, actually. Yes, SHOOTING THE PAST, FRIENDS & CROCODILES, GIDEON'S DAUGHTER, THE LOST PRINCE. I'm currently watching ALMOST STRANGERS and find it quite interesting. Few in the US seem to know his work.

Hello, hello, hello!

Happy Veteran's Day!

I guess most of you know the U.S. mail was delivered today, even though it's a federal holiday.  Turns out the postal workers voted to take tomorrow off, giving themselves two consecutive days off.  At least, that's the case here in California.

Watched on TV today:

Smallville
Supernatural
Bones
Ugly Betty
Grey's Anatomy

Glad to get all that over with.

It's a cool overcast day here in Oakland.  I'm all cozy in my condo.  No get-up-and-go, but my attention span is in good form.

Have an appointment with my chiropractor at 4:30 p.m.

Whoops!  Stephen.

His work has been very well received here in OZ. "Shooting the
Past" is my favourite.

Bruce-Have a successful book signing tomorrow.  I mentioned it to a few people.  I don’t know if they will show or not, if they do I’m sure I will read about it in your notes.

Now that Sherlock is almost 15 weeks and 40 pounds, the fact that he considers me his personal chew toy is no longer cute, it’s down right frightening. ;D

This photo was taken last week.

It's time I took off for the evening.  I need to work concessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts tonight for a performance by a string quartet.  As head concessionaire, I need to be there two hours before the show starts (at 7:30).

After that (I can leave after intermission is over...which I will ;)), the director of Cannibal:  The Musical is having a party at her house.  I wasn't able to go to the first one shortly after we started rehearsal, because it was the night that I went to Tacoma to meet TCB, Jed, Ann, Tomovoz and Colin (and I'd choose that again)!

Otherwise, all my television recording devices are set to tape tonight's shows (I double-checked it all) and I'll be back when I get back.  Have a great evening, all! ;D

I just got a phone call from someone wanting to ask about how I felt about the recent elections. I told him I am sick of it all and wish it would all end.

The first day after the elections it was blissfully quiet (telephone-wise). Now it is starting up again.

And appreciated too DR George.   Not everyone would turn down an opportunity to bond with cannibals.

I promised that I'd be back and to prove it, I'm here!

We had a very productive day.  Mom and I are very, very, very pleased with the new doctor.  She spent over 2 hours with us and didn't make us feel like we were wasting her time. It might be a bit farther drive but it is well worth it.

Thank you all for the good wishes for my Mom.  I've been worried about her but now I feel a bit better about her now that we have some great medical help.

Well, that is some camera!  I am still learning how to use my new Casio.  Silly me, there was a setting marked MF.  I thought it meant something about how the flash was set.  It turned out it was the focus!

I wondered why some of my shots weren't turning out.

DR Ginny, I hope that everything turns out well for your MIL..

Hi, Danise!  Thanks for the kind wishes for my MiL - I'm sending the same for you and your mom.  I've missed "riding the bus" with you lately.

Hi Ginny!

I've been talking on the bus instead of using the computer.  I'm even thinking about giving up the wireless.  It's just to expensive for me not to use.
