Cason, you will be happy to know that your image will be plastered on the pages of Classic Images magazine when they print the short write up of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X.

DR MBarnum, when is this issue being released? Does Classic Images have a website?

We need a photo of "The Boys in The Band of The Brain."

Those boys in the band make Zubrick squirm, if I am not mistaken...

Wow!  "The Brain from Planet X" in Cinemascope.  How JRand56 1950s!

I've never seen this photo before.  I must add this specimen to my collection.

I don't think anybody took a photo of Richard and the band; in homage to Ms Midler, we should call them Dickie and the Blowboys.

How would Zubrick react to this group?

FJL originally titled this group:

'Dead Lesbian and the Fibrillating Scissor Sisters'

But their first label, "A Touch of Class" (go figure), shortened it up.

I did use some credit I had and got a region 2 DVD of the entire run of Honey West - I confess I've never seen an episode but I love Anne Francis and it really looks like it might be fun.  It only lasted one season - thirty episodes.  These days what comprises a season?  Twelve?

Depends on where the show is appearing. When HONEY WEST aired, there were three networks only and a original show/rerun schedule was pretty much in place for all shows.

Now with networks, cable channels, paycable, etc. every series has a different definition of a season.

For a network show in a normal season run (like HONEY WEST would be today), it's 22-24 episodes.

I also had time to finish LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME that I began last night. Doris' "Shakin' the Blues Away" is one of her greatest ever performances, but I honestly think the simple piano-vocal of "I'll Never Stop Loving You" is my favorite moment in the movie.

I also put in the 1954 A STAR IS BORN (since I've been listening to the soundtrack for the last several days) and watched the entire "Born in a Trunk" sequence and "Lose That Long Face" before the dressing room breakdown scene. The color is spectacular on "Born in a Trunk" and "Lose That Long Face" is just so infectious.

My dinner last night was AWESOME.

The rack of lamb was superb.  The soup that preceded it was magnificent.

The two glasses of wine were perfection.

The creme brulee and coffee were heaven.

The vittals you et, were good, I'll bet

That's what I'm talkin' about!

Don't you think that The Brain CD should be allowed to gracefully mellow like a fine wine? Maybe a Christmas 2025 release would be nice.

In the year 2025 - oops, 2525

Hey, we do what we can.  However, there were several moments in the orchestration that I made sure to listen for each night and never ceased to make me just laugh and laugh backstage.  I'll be interested to see how those moments sound on the CD...

Probably drowned out by the sound of backstage laughter!

Some of the vocalists make it hard to hear my work.

Ah, the Orchestrators's lament - DAMN SINGERS!

You should save your best work for shows done in Mime.
