BK ~ Put on some clothes (it's called layering) and/or turn up the heat.  By "interesting" movie choices, did you mean interesting in a good way or a bad way?  Ta-tah - I'm off to the theatre!

Is Russian Dressing high in fat and carbs?  I hope not.  I just got a sandwich that normally comes with Russian and I asked that it be substitued with spicey mustard, but I still got the Russian.

People just don't listen anymore.

The heat is on, but it takes a while to warm up this jernt.  Once warm, though, it stays warm.  Outside is a different matter - it's just almost impossible for me to jog in cold weather no matter how many hens I'm wearing (hens = layers).

Yes, Russian dressing is high in fat and carbs but it's very good.  It's the Mayo factor.

Well, I'm eating the sandwich, anyway.  And good, it is.

I'll just eat a really lean Lean Cuisine for dinner tonight to make up for it.

So... My question about "Grease: You're the One That I Want"...

So... Since it does look they will have some "pros" in the Final 12 - or whatever the final number ends up being - what happens if someone happens to get an offer for another show during the winnowing down process?  I mean, some of the people I saw last night, are definitely "working actors".  Will the producers of the TV show allow them to leave?  -Sort of like when an actor/actress is "allowed" to leave a production if a "better" contract is offered (at least in AEA terms).  Or do the contestants sign away their life for the period of the live TV rounds?  And just how do those people make any sort of money during the time period?

Well... Depending who makes the Finals, I may be able to get those questions answered personally.  ;)

From what I've heard, Miss Marshall has a bunch of pros coming in during the final round.

Have the final few already been selected?  How much winnowing down does "America" get to do?

Back from the jog.  Sights you never think you'll see in the City of Studio - whenever jogging passed any water on the street, it was ice.  Icy streets - man.

Boston is going to be COLD the day of our screening. High of 20, low of 16. I hope it doesn't keep people from venturing out for opening night!

It might be cold if there is a breeze off the bay. Actually that is not too cold here but then again we have a dry cold so that might make a difference.

Still chuckle at the night I had to explain a bloc heater to someone from Boston...

DtM - The GREASE revival has reportedly tentatively booked the Atkinson, but totally unsubstantiated rumor has it that if LEGALLY BLONDE somehow (on some remote remote chance) isn't at the Palace this summer, GREASE will go to the Palace.

How's that for caveats?

Good Morning!
Re: "Baby, It's Cold Outside" - This may have been brought up before, but did anyone catch the new documentary about about Frank Loesser that was recently broadcast on PBS?  I thought it was very well done.

I'll have to track that down. If they did Loesser, certainly they would want our Johnny Mercer doc!

(BTW, I was named after a Frank Loesser song. Hope that he didn't grow to despise that one, too!)

I have you beat. 2 hunky African-American men dressed as cowboys just rode by my house on 2 beautiful horses. What a thril!

I think the parade must have just ended...

That is weird....

An earlier reply to Adriana did not go through...

She was commenting about the song "BAby, it's cold outside"

Matt Ashford and his wife Christina did a cover of that song.

Scroll down to the heading of Matt and Christina and then listen to the clip

Hmm... That sort of reminds me of one of Sabina's lines from "The Skin Of Our Teeth".  Speaking of which, I just happened to get a call to play some auditions for the long-aborning musical version of the play - which is now entitled, All About Us.

My Closer producer had a friend who was a singer/dancer in the Broadway production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She was told she couldn't audition for the Grease thing because she had too much professional experience.

So how can Juliana make it? It doesn't seem fair--I thought the idea was to discover new talent! (Maybe I should just watch the show...)
