So, then to West 27th Street to deal with ANNIE GET YOUR GUN; it's hard to explain this "virtual orchestra" but it's a program to be used in performance to augment a live ensemble.  This was the first time I've ever heard the orchestration, which I did in 1999-2000, for the stock package.  So far, it sounds soooo much better than I feared.  I was so afraid I'd be humiliated in front of a group of gentlemen I just met.  Of course, we're only halfway through "Doing what Comes Natcherly," but I'm smiling today!

Hmm... Have you resigned from Local 802?

What a rip-off!  Jake Gyllenhaal's video has been removed from You Tube due to copyright infringement.

Has it been posted on SNL's website?  Or is it more a problem with the Dreamgirls people?

I haven't seen very many movies at all this year. That's quite a change for me. And I don't regularly watch any shows on tv. So, it's interesting, but I really don't have any favorites

Just gave up on the Globes - it's almost over, isn't it?  I was surprised at how many of the winners I had seen this year - not the TV series, but the movies.  Thanks, DR Elmore!

It's over.

It was OK.  I've never really been one for awards shows - well, except the Tonys - but I thought it was a good ceremony, if not necessarily exciting.

However, and I'm sure other "critics" will make mention of this, it was interesting how the technical and directorial winners were cut off during their acceptance speeches, while the actors and actresses were allowed to babble on.

I've had too many distractions tonight to actually sit down and watch the awards.  Not that I'm all that wild about the Golden Globes anyway.  For the past ten years or so they've been billed as Hollywood's party night, where anything could happen but they haven't relly lived up to that rep for quite a few years.

They did let the producer of BABEL babble on a bit.

And while I'm in an opinionated mood...

Isn't it a trifle too soon for those kids who had been kidnapped and rescued to start doing the media rounds?  One of the boys and his family is scheduled to appear on the Today Show tomorrow morning.  What next?--a stop on The View and then Letterman?  I don't know what's worse--that the family wants their fifteen minutes of fame so soon or that the networks are so eager to give it to them.

They certainly cut off the producer of the Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy pretty fast.

Gee, if you are a member of AOL, you can find out who won the Golden Globes the very first second you turn on your computer -- even if you don't want to know!

Don't go to IMDb.com...all of the winners are listed there, also. :-\

Oh!  Amy Sedaris is on Letterman tonight.  :)

Btw, I LOVE her "hostess" book, "I Like You."  The Children's Party Games section is very "helpful".  ;D

Unfortunately, he probably increased the stigma that all gay men are drag queens.

I resemble that remark!

I thought Cameron Diaz looked awful at the Globes, but just her hair. I didn't pause long enough to look at her dress.

They let the producer of the Best Drama babble on because the show had already gone past 11 p.m., so there was no need to worry at that point about ending at 11.

I really can't say I was disappointed with any of the winners. Many were the favorites, and in the TV categories, there are just SO many quality shows out there vying for these prizes that it's a shame every deserving person can't win something.

From my count, the top winner won 3 awards, and it happened to be a musical. Nice, eh?

I watched the GREASE reality show. Like last week, we didn't get to see enough of the dance phase of the competition (maybe we'll see more dance at GREASE Academy), and we did get to see some talented men and women make it.

The story of the couple on the rocks vying for spots was pretty interesting.

I got about 20 minutes into CSI: MIAMI before I realized it was a repeat, not a new episode (the CBS comedies were new). Since I couldn't remember how it turned out, I finished watching it. It was an episode from earlier this season, however. It wasn't the season premiere, but it may have been the second episode of the season.
