TCB - Thanks, that makes more sense, I guess.   I wonder if some of the audience will just stay in their seats watching the actors during the intermission.

That probably makes the duration of the play unnecessarily tough on the actors.

I think it would work better if we were working in a proscenium theater, but this show is being done on a thrust stage, and the stage is very close to every seat in the theater.  I think it will make a great many audience members uncomfortable, not knowing if they can move around or talk, or go out and get coffee.

Each actor is going to have a set time to use the water closet, which will be the only escape to backstage.

Continued congrats to Edisaurus.

Thanks, FJL! I heard today that the art house in Santa Fe has booked us for a run there. I was surprised, because we didn't get a huge turn out, only about 100 people for each screening. It's a cool theatre---all the chairs are love seats! Kind of interesting, especially when you're sharing a loveseat with someone you've only met in the dark!

What are people's top Seuss books?

Not to speak for my mother as well, but she and I share the same favorite Seuss book:

Horton Hatches the Egg.

Yesterday, I was going to go to work but I didn't, but I got some TV watching done (and several things got erased from the DVR), and then I went to work concessions for Ladysmith Back Mambazo.  They were very good...a little repitious and sedate for me, but good and the audience loved them.  I left early though because my friend Margo called and asked if I wanted to see "Dreamgirls" again at 10:30.  I said, okay!  So, even though we just saw it last week, we saw it again.  It was still good.  I enjoyed it as much the second time around.

Anyway, we got out at about 12:45am, and decided that we were hungry so we went to Shari's.  Shari's was having a special on hazelnut items (waffles and other things), but I had my usual, their country skillet (country fried steak, grilled onions, green and red peppers, country gravy...all very good) and a diet Pepsi.  Then I came home at about 2:00am and went to sleep.  That was my day, yesterday.

:D

Congratulations!  Hey, let's celebrate at Tully's in Tacoma!  I think JMK might be convinced to come up and join us in the party!

I guess I was a strange child (No, kidding!), but the only Dr. Seuss book I ever read as a kid was The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.  I don't know, now, if I read that one because it was prose instead of poetry; or if it was the only one not checked out at the library.

edisaurus - there is definitely matching time code for the three cameras.  Thing to know:  There are a handful of pickups at the end - covers for some flubbed stuff in act two.

Just returned from my mom's where we tried to burn some photos onto a CD. For the life of us neither she nor I could remember how to do it...she has so many photos on her hard drive that she needs to get them off and onto disks.

Well...I need to take a shower to get ready for the celebration of TCB's 6000th post! ;) Actually, we're all going to meet because JMK is reviewing the Tacoma Symphony's Sondheim concert for The Sondheim Review!  It's a good enough reason to get together.  AND I'm bringing my new (actual) digital camera so that pictures can be taken easily...and better quality than what can be taken with my cell phone. ::)

Be back later!

WOW!

Yesterday comment of Dakotacelt's question about Three Men & a Baby is providing me my first BIG LAUGH of the day (evening, here!)

Was there a French adaptation of that film????

Well, the French film WAS the original; Disney's version was the American version of it!

DR EDISAURUS - the only thing that kept me from buying the White Thunder DVD was that it is only 52 minutes long!

The fish and chips were a so-so thing last night.  The chips were sorta OK, the fish itself fine... but the rice flour batter was just plain odd.  Der Brucer picked the fish out of the crust, leaving a plate filled with odd crispy but unsatisfying bits that he didn't even feed to the dogs.

 :P

Tonight, Beouf Bourgonion, or however it's spelled.

Boeuf Bourguignon, tout simplement! ;)

I don't believe I have ever read a book about a fish.

1. What's your favorite fish to eat (and yes, you chefs can include how you like it prepared, and yes that includes shell fish if you like)?
     I have never eaten fish.
Although I do like goldfishy crackers. I had some on Friday. Miss Kayla traded me some for some potato chips.

2.  What's your favorite fish as a pet?
The Ladies. They live in a tank on the shelf in the living room. Their names are Lady and Lady.

3.  What's your favorite fish in a lake, river or ocean?
The coelacanth. I would say sea cucumber, but that's not a fish.

4.  What's your favorite fish story (and that includes the one that got away)?

5.  What's your favorite movie about a fish?
I don't recall ever seeing a movie about a fish. Unless you count The Little Mermaid, but she's not really a fish because fish don't have mammary glands and please don't get me started on that.

6.  What's your favorite book about a fish?
The Two Thousand-Pound Goldfish by Betsy Byars.

8.  What's your favorite song about a fish?
I Love Fish, as sung by Guy Haines.

Yes, back when I was going to bars on the weekends, I would come home reeking of smoke and immediately have to take a shower. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to fall asleep.
