Your "full member" comment following my "safe sex" comment are so.... TCBesque!! ;)

TCB must be a most charming, witty, and delightful person .... not to mention insightful, intelligent, and all knowing....of course, that's just a hunch.....

LOL....there are several more serials to go!

They could use a couple of more dabs of glue on the paper on the back of the tin though.  ;D

Oh, I do remove those and frame them!
I'm so... weird!

But I don't have the "Your Host..." one ... yet!

(The info on the back used to be printed on the tin itself for the early issues of the series!)

Who'd ever have thought that CHIP AND DALE (1947) would be a more obscure Disney short than DER FEUHRER'S FACE (1943)? Or that THE TRIAL OF DONALD DUCK (1948) would be harder to see than EDUCATION FOR DEATH (1943)? That's the way it stands now if Disney Home Video has their way.

Word is circulating around the Internet that Disney has put a halt to the series of Walt Disney Treasures, the annual set of archival dvds, packaged in a tin container, hosted and produced by Leonard Maltin. The series was close to releasing every short the company ever produced, but has now stopped short of completing the collection of its most important short subject star, Donald Duck. Wartime cartoons, silent rarities, lost Disneyland footage, the complete run of Silly Symphonies—all this and more have been part of the Walt Disney Treasures during the past six years (click here for a complete list).

For more information on the situation, or if you want to support the effort to keep these DVDs alive, I refer you to this thread on HomeTheaterForum.com.

Looking forward to the pix, DR GEORGE.

I'm home (I didn't go to the concert, though).  Anyway, I got to Tully's last and Ann, Jed, TCB and JMK were all there, chatting away.  We just chatted for a while and then JMK had to get to the concert.  It was a lovely way to waste time on a Sunday afternoon.  So, here's the first picture I took:

DR Jose, I have to deal with ANNIE GET YOUR GUN Act II tomorrow and then Mr Kevin Spirtas' showcase at 5.  I guess I'll try to coerce DR Cason to help me out via long distance next week.

After that, I went looking to buy a new jacket, but couldn't find anything that I wanted, so I came home.  I'm watching things on my DVR so that I can erase them and record new stuff. :)

Not yet.  I think they close within the next couple of weeks, though.  Pretty exciting for them.

...And I just have to wonder what kind of deal NBC and David Ian made with Actor's Equity in regards to having AEA members being featured on this program.  And now that they've chosen the final 12... And what happens if the winner is not already a member of Equity?  I'm sure they'll be required to join the union, but will they cover the fees and dues?  Or will NBC and David Ian foot the bill?

And what about the actors and actresses who have made it to the final 12 who are already members of Equity?  ...I have to say, knowing just how much work, practice, blood and sweat goes into getting an Equity card nowadays, it sort of feels "wrong" that they would put themselves through this process.  -And if a non-Equity member happens to win the contest, it would just diminish all the hard work the others have done.

-Or something like that.
