And here's the right side of the room.  The white square is where the wall was cut open and the leaky pipe fixed, then the wall was fixed.  Now I just have to paint it and it's all done!

It looks lovely....But you may need to call the Ghost Busters.  Looks like the ghost of R2D2 is haunting your corner... oh, I just read your cutline about the "hole in your wall" repair -- never mind!

Between the weather reports, the Loesser doc, the football play-offs, and Grease Academy, I've watched more TV today than in the whole past week.

Why am I so tired?

'night!

TCB, if you're interested, click HERE for the Amazon.com listing for the original cast recording to the musical, Yours, Anne (with audio clips).

Click HERE and scroll down to see the recording called "I Am Anne Frank" (a song cycle reworked from Yours, Anne) with Andrea Marcovicci and Stephen Bogardus (no audio clips, though).

Nice place, George!

Thanks!  I'm really starting to like it...now I just have to clean up my TV room, my extra bedroom, my actual bedroom and my storage unit! ;)

And from what I understand, that London THE SOUND OF MUSIC is doing very, very well, and they are very welll pleased with the winner of the contest, enough in fact to have extended her contract.

I finished BILOXI BLUES when I settled back in for some TV. Always enjoy the film, and it was nice to see it again and to now have it in my collection.

As for the banning of smoking, however...  I didn't mind too much when restaurants went totally non-smoking in Washington state some years ago, but the bars did so last January after a ballot initiative which I voted against.  Sure, I personally much prefer going into bars that are smoke-free, but would much prefer the decision to be so be made by the owner of the establishment rather than the state.

Here, here!  Something happened here in our little town.  I don't like to smell like smoke -- or breathe second-hand smoke -- but even more I wouldn't like the government making that decision for me if I owned a bar, so I voted against the initiative here.  I tried smoking in college (to be cool and to be rebellious/shocking -- I went to a Southern Baptist university, so no dancing, drinking or smoking on campus).  But I never developed the taste for it, so after making "my statement," didn't continue.  I don't have an addictive personality...well, I take that back, I'm addicted to sugar......

Next I put in the first MISSION IMPOSSIBLE on Blu-ray. I only had limited time to watch, so I only got about 20 minutes in, but the Blu-ray transfer is quite nice. No, not as breathtaking in its three dimensionality as MISSION IMPOSSIBLE III, but it's certainly a step up in visual quality from the SD-DVD.

I enjoyed the GREASE Academy round of the competition, but once again, I was frustrated by not being able to hear everyone sing for an extended period. Hard for us in the audience to be able to judge fairly when you hear only a line or two of a song.

Same with the dance. I would LOVE to have seen the entire routine rather than trying to piece it together from the snippets we were shown throughout the hour.

They kept commenting on the quality of Max's voice, that he was the best singer. Too bad we never got to really hear it thoroughly. I am glad we'll finally have that chance next week.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES interested me only with Gabby's storyline tonight. The Bree/Orson/Alma business is just drudgery to me, and Tom and Lynette's business decision seemed a no-brainer after seeing Lynette at the street fair. The Susan-Ian story seems played out already. We know now she really loves Mike and always will. So, we have to see her twisting in the wind for weeks trying to make it work with Ian and not disappoint him the way his wife did.

Argh!

BROTHERS & SISTERS had another marvelous episode. I love this show!

Marion Ross guest starred as Sally Field's mother, and she was remarkably irritating and in her own expert way turned it around to be very moving by the end of the hour.

My mother ran screaming into my room. My brother just about had a heart attack in the next room. And she was loud enough to turn the lamp on, thanks to The Clapper I bought myself for Christmas. But my hiccups are gone.
