At least not out of my sightline...

DR George, I'm sorry to hear about JUNO not happening.  But you are on a roll right now and I'm sure you will find something else to do soon.

Whenever I see your avitar, I think that you should play Anne Sullivan :)

And whenever I see yours, I think that you should play Charlie Brown (I swear, you're a dead-ringer for 'im)...

"Marley and Me" by John Grogan

(I don't know what George Grogan has written or why he popped into my mind while I wrote my other post..but my mind is strange like that, things that have nothing to to with anything poppin in and out all the time)..

Which George Grogan were you thinking of, Mammy?  We've got:

*Deputy State Forester, George Grogan
*Manhattan Casino promoter George Grogan
*Retired Omaha insurance executive/2000 U.S. Senate candidate, George Grogan

...and of course, who could forget Brigadier-General George William St George Grogan

So, the boiler guys and the property manager came over about 10 minutes ago.  The steam valve on the radiator in the kitchen/dining room area is being replaced as I type this post.  And the valve for the radiator in my bedroom will be replaced this afternoon.  -They just need to get the part.  Luckily(?), the company is working nearby at another property on a major problem, so while they're waiting for things to settle there, they were able to head over here in the interim.

*And I have to say I loved the "bargaining" technique of the property manager: "So, since this will only take five minutes, you can do it now, right?"  -Oh.. Sure.  "So, I know that you still need to get the part for the other radiator, but that will only take about twenty minutes, so you can be back before 3:00, right?"  Well.. Maybe.  "Well, he has to leave this afternoon, and he has to have heat tonight in his bedroom, so it has to be done by 3:00."  -Oh, OK.

That's it!  The bridgadier general guy -- he's the one I was thinking of -- didn't he write "Divide and Conquer the World:  A Handbook for Republicans"?  I don't know why he popped into my mind this morning?  Go figure....

I watched it again last night DR Jose. My mind tells me to turn this trash off...but my eyes tell me to keep watching!

I like JP so I will likely keep watching. He left Survivor so early on that we never really got to see what a nice guy he was. I hope he does well.

Like I said, just turn the sound off.  It's all about the visuals.

I listened for a while, and it does sound like something mechanical, there's a scraping sound before the "knock" - which is more like a "hit" or a "pound".  Any DRs have any idea what would cause such a loud knocking sound in the pipes?

Although, my roomies and I started yelling at the TV during the last minutes of the show...  All that build up, teasing... and then "to be continued"!

I love WQXR, except for the allnight "Numbnuts at Night" and her pretentious accent.  However, I love Carmen, and I still miss Greg Whiteside.

Hey, why do some of you have "little yellow instant message guys" and "letters in your envelope" icons down at the bottom, and all I've got is some bizarre looking "baby head looking down in a box" icon at the bottom of mine?

Nimet Habachy or Midge Woolsey?  I think their both a bit pretentious just by their names alone.  ;)

It's another County payday today.

Yay.

Fog wafts about the streets this morning, rubbing shoulders with the buildings and caressing the trees along the sidewalks and around the lake.

My inclination is to be in bed snoozing blissfully away.

But...when you're working class....

The baby thing is an icon to one would click to "view your profile," while the mail icon is to e-mail someone, and the little yellow guy would allow you to have an AOL Instant Message conversation with them...

Boy, do we have a lot to teach you about the Internet...

Just click it.. I know you want to...

Well, if you hold your mouse/pointer over it, a small box will come up telling you what the symbols stand for.

I really enjoyed "CSI" last night.  Liev Schreiber adds an interesting dimension to the show, I think.

And this despite the fact that the writers seem bent on creating an adversarial relationship between him and the rest of the CSI crew....setting the stage, of course, for William Peterson's return.

That baby is pretty creepy...

How does that apply to viewing someone's profile?
