Black Towel night for Eileen Farrell, Bette and Barry, Waylan and Madame....and varied Tom, Dicks, and Harrys!

der Brucer

Are you sure it was Eileen Farrell and not Eleanor Steber?

The day is waning.

Oh, yes.  It is waning.

We had a spell  there where it waxed.

But the waxing's done.

I wonder if I'll like tonight's "Medium".

I hope I do.

Last night's "American Idol" was so-o-o dreary.

How many of the 20 they furthered on to Hollywood did we actually get to see/hear?  Was it three?  Or two?

I remember Michael (?) Sligh...only because he's from Greenville SC.  And I remember that first girl.  I wasn't blown away by any of them.

What a great wedding tradition!

Somehow, DR Edisaurus, I don't think any of them would dance to the "Thriller" song again.

It's just that....well...."Wack-O Jack-O" doesn't ring dem bells much any more.

Good morning dear H/Ks and DRs.....

..........And, a very Happy Birthday to DR Michael S. !!

I hadn't been aware of just how many of us splendid, unique, and beautiful Aquarians there were here in the Living Room.  I see DR Ben is, and DR Edi is, and Obviously DR Michael S. .  I wonder which other DRs here are avowed Aquarians??  Come on now, it's 2007.... you don't have to stay in the closet!

Hi -- I'm MusicGuy --  and I'm an Aquarian!..... (Hi MusicGuy)....

I''m out of a closet Aquarian!

Thanks for the nice wishes.

It's nearly 4 p.m.  This work day is finally drawing to a close.

Hardly anyone is in the office.  And here I sit...fighting inertia.

Good morning!

Happy Birthday DR Micheal Shayne!

I don't think I will be trying any cottage cheese burritos....

I have a whole list of errands around the lovely town of HOLLYWOOD to do, so I must get going before it starts to rain!

Thank you Adrianna.
It was ever so nice seeing you in LA this pass December,

You are cute as a button.

And this is coming from an out of the clost Aquarian.

Edi - Just made my donation online, but wasn't clear where to put the "Absentee Buddy:  Quinn" notation, so I just typed it in the comments box.

FJL, you are unbelievably generous!

Quinn's mother thanks you, his father thanks you...and I THANK YOU!

And Peter Filichia invited me to dinner, but I couldn't get a flight to NYC that would get me there in time for dinner. I did take a rain check.

eBay does it again - remember the other day when I asked about songs that had been made from commercial jingles - and I mentioned It Won't Hurt To Try It, which my pal Michael Burns had recorded?  I have that 45 somewhere, but who knows where - so I got a copy on eBay for 1.00 - sung by - wait for it - Jim Nabors.  Just played it - it's really pretty, very Burt Bacharach-sounding, with a nice chart by Al Capps.

Ron, I thought Lukas was totally out of line and out of control in his response to you.

Thanks very much.

I thought it an overreaction, although he made some points I simply didn't consider.  A private note to me would have been more appreciated.

I appreciate that SheriffJoe "cleaned up" Lukas' post a bit at the bitter end...when he exhorted me to "eat the XXXX ing steaks,"

:D

I just read HERE that Molly Ivins has died from breast cancer.  She was 62.
