I wonder if dear readers Laura or Sandra will explain what the title of today's notes means?

LOL. Just a nonsense phrase she made up that amuses us.

Oh re: TAR, I never had the problems of having it start on time cause it is/was on CTV at 8pm (canadian station). I can imagine it being slightly frustrating not having it start at 8pm every week.

DRs MBarnum and JRand your TAR comments made me laugh. I really don't like that family!!!!!!!!! ;)

I like survivor a lot (although not as much as TAR). But it's hard to get too excited until the season starts and we meet the teams. But for TAR allstars i already know the teams and know which ones i like. So it's easier to be excited (plus TAR is my favorite reality show).

I wonder how many fights we will have on HHW. I will say for the record now i am cheering for rob and amber and the beauty queens. But i may also cheer for danielle and eric since i don't know them as a team yet.

I will count on DR MBarnum cheering for 2 of my least favorite teams: dave and mary and teri and ian.  Oh and i'm sure you'll love joyce and uchenna too!

I started my afternoon of viewing with last Friday's LAW & ORDER which featured an obnoxiously smug Ann Coulter-like character in one of the main parts. This made it a very difficult episode to sit through. Not only that, the ending one could see coming a mile away. My, how L&O has faded from its glory days of 8-10 years ago.

Next came a simply hilarious episode of EXTRAS as Andy is nominated for a BAFTA award and gets into all kinds of trouble at the soiree.

[sigh] Only two episodes left, and RIckey Gervais has said he isn't planning on doing any more of them.

DR RonP, that sounds very frustrating re: your phone. What if you bring it to the store (don't most of these cellphone places have stores you can go to). I would imagine if they actually had it in their possession that they could fool around with it and fix it.

I finished the afternoon with the season 1 finale of THE CLOSER. So glad I watched this again.

The actor playing the father of the battered wife is the same actor who plays Betty's father on UGLY BETTY. He's grand.

And my Blu-rays came in today, so I'll be watching the high definition version of CHICAGO tonight with the uncompressed Dolby Digital audio track which should be mind-blowing.

No STUDIO 60 on tonight for me since i saw it last night.  VEry similar to last week. No comedy show. Just focus on the relationships.

DR MattH, i know that you said this wasn't appealing to you (or something like that, perhaps you said you did not think it would be appealing to others watching), but i sort of like it.

I know the show is basically about the comedy show. But i just really like harriet and matt. And i don't mind seeing a show focusing on them (and danny and amanda peet's character).

I get excited about The Amazing Race even without knowing the teams yet...along with getting to know them I simply look forward to seeing all those wonderful places around the world that they all visit and race through! Seeing the different counties is 50% of the fun for me!

Oh DR MBarnum re: TAR allstars. At least you probably won't hate my teams too much this year. Since you'll have the Guidos to hate (assuming they play the same style of game as season 1).

I will be surprised if joyce and uchenna go till the end though this time. I did not think they were the strongest team in their season. I have nothing against them. They seem nice enough (as do dave and mary). I just prefer strong teams (although that said J & U are much stronger than dave and mary).

I'm betting dave and mary will be gone the first week!

My nephew and his wife and kids just returned from a week in Mexico. They e-mailed me a few photos...and this one I had to share. It is beautiful!

I can't recall where in Mexico John and Jamie were, but this sunset is fantastic!

JRand56, you have made me burst into laughter now that I just looked back at your reaction to my TAR photo several pages back (which I somehow missed earlier).

Dear Dear Reader DearReaderLaura,

I thought I told you to shut up about those scorpidos. (I meant it in the nicest possible way, of course.)

Dear DR Sandra, there is a little bit of extra chocolate in the kitchen, and you can lick the bowl. If you find it before your brother finds it, of course.

I didn't find it very involving, no. Separately, I like these characters, but the constant throwing together of actors who for me have NO chemistry at all together gets to be tiresome.

And since the ratings now are half of what they were at the beginning of the season, it looks like a lot of people have become disinterested in it.

I'll continue watching; I've stayed with it this long, but I'm certainly not going to invest any emotional furvor into the show. I am pretty sure it won't be back for another season next year.

Two classic TV actors passed away last week...

Tige Andrews of MOD SQUAD fame. Age 85. (he is the guy in the suit)

Billy Booth who played Tommy Anderson on DENNIS THE MENACE. Age 56.

(Billy is far left)

Only if they're chocolate covered. ;)
