Everyone, thanks again for the good wishes!  I'm on the horms of a dilemma on whether to buy a new suit or have the pants altered on the suit I have here.  I brought it to Ohio last summer thinking I might need it at any moment, and it fit then.  No mo! Sam, you made the waist too tight.

My nephew Matt and I went shopping, he for a Valentine gift and I for a suit.  My depressed and depressing hometown is a mess!  I looked at a suit but didn't purchase, no matter how much pressure I got from my sales lady.  Perhaps tomorrow I'll decide something.

I'd have the old one altered. I had certain items of clothing that I associated with my dad's passing and every time I saw them I felt saddened again. I eventually gave them to a charity.

DRelmore-Your morning post brought tears to my eyes.  You are very fortunate to have the time to express your heart to your father.  I’m sure he heard you and feels very loved.

Such a nice post --- actually all of you are so sweet to each other (and teasing, and wacky, and clever, and funny, etc.)... I see why DR ELmo so highly recommended this site.

You are loved DR Elmo!

Kiss Karen, this is the greatest site on the net and the best party I've ever attended.  I never want to leave it because the guests are so wonderful.

DR Miss Kare, your email was quite lovely, and I truly appreciated it.  However, in a fit of abstraction, before I could reply, I foolishly deleted it with everything else!

Oooh, the Macbeths just arrived!

Jeanne says, "Dull, dull, dull!!"

Sigh.

Instead of frostbite, electric shock?

Either one difficult to explain to the EMS.  ;D

I turned on the computer this morning & the first thing that pops up is a photo of the winning dog at Westminster.  So much for my efforts to wait until I watch the show-oh, I see DerBrucer would have given it away even if the google & yahoo news hadn’t ;D.......

DR elmore-Since you already chose a suit & have it there and ready to wear I would alter it.  Though I differ from Jeanne and have found comfort in wearing the clothes I have worn to loved ones funerals.

Ellen Hanley has died.

She sang one of the most ravishing love songs ever written for a Broadway Musical:  "When Did I Fall in Love", from "Fiorello!"

It's pretty pitiful, isn't it?  I am glad to hear that you and your nephew were able to be out and about a bit today.

Even though I'm not as eloquent as others here, you know I'm thinking about you and keeping your dad and family in my prayers.

Did you find the recordings you were looking for yesterday?

My [first] question for ASK BK day:

What is your favorite Broadway musical based on a movie?  - If any.

And what is your favorite Hollywood version of a Broadway show - beyond the obvious choices such as THE MUSIC MAN & LI'L ABNER.

AND what is your favorite movie made by Miss Doris Day?

If we're talking based ONLY on a movie (in other words, not a movie made from other source material such as a play or book, i.e. Auntie Mame or The Matchmaker), then I'd say Promises, Promises and Carnival.

Besides the two you mention, West Side Story and The Sound Of Music.

The Man Who Knew Too Much, for very Kritzer reasons.

Question for today:

I haven’t received a response from my question last night, does this mean no one has a suggestion how I can contact Richard Elfman?

I can't help, but the IMDB lists his birthdate as March 6, 1949, and gives this bio info:

"Richard grew up in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles (Boyz n the Hood (1991)), was a semi-professional boxer, food and wine critic and successful stage director. He is also a noted Afro-Latin percussionist and the founder of the original Mystic Knights of the Oingo-Boingo. Richard's first novel, "The Schlemazl of Sebriem" will be published later this year."

Contact details are available through IMDb for anyone who is an IMDbPro member.

And the word of the day is: EPULOSITY!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde,
But don't think it was easy -
Pre-dancing, they had celebrated St. Valentine's
With an EPULOSITY of chocolate covered strawberries,
Cream puffs, bananas Foster (marvelously phallic),
And handfulls of those little candy hearts that have love notes printed on them,
The result being that they both were more than a little stuffed and gassy,
And if they danced too quickly, they were apt to emit butt burps.

In unison, no less!

Quite a lineup at the Courts Show....

And - you can buy some of Hilary Duff's clothes if you are so inclined!
Not my style.

Not my size, either.

And why aren't YOU shoveling snow, DER BRUCER?
I'll answer.

A) We have no snow to be shovelled.  It all melted in last nights rains.

B) He lets me do the shovelling.  He even gave me a snow shovel for Christmas a couple of years back.  It hasn't snowed enough to use it ever since, but it's the thought that counts.
