The last book that I read was BK's very own "How To Write a Dirty Book and Other Stories." I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I'm quite tired and logey and shall have to toddle off to the bedroom environment shortly.

I did hear from a producer in NY who'd been interested in the Brain - he's heard the CD and was quite taken with it. We'll be having some discussions after he's read the script, which I'm sending him shortly, along with our reviews and press materials.

I don't. He wrote me after he saw the press release for the CD. He loves this sort of show, and he asked me to send it to him. I don't think he's a big producer, but he's had shows in NYMF and has done stuff. We shall see. A theater, which I can't name yet, is also looking at it.

Well, takes me a while to "write" anything. Posting posts is like chatting or talking, quick and off the top of my head. It'll take me a little time, but I'll "write" something...eventually.

"Ghost Whisperer" is fairly exciting...more action that usual, but "Las Vegas" was just dumb.

I read two autobiographies simultaneously Marni Nixon (I Could Have Sung All Night) and Donna McKechnie (Time Steps).

Both interesting reads and I learned alot more about both people. Especially Marni Nixon who worked as child actress in films. I especially enjoy two sections of Mckechni's story: How show suffered from arthritis and was able to walk and dance again. Also her marriage to Michael Bennett and its aftermath. From his bio's I knew he was nice man, but Donna wrote with some what affection about his dark side.

Otherwise: On Singing Onstage by David Craig, which was just okay.

The Man Who Invented Rock Hudson

And as always Atlas Shrugged.

ALSO a very nice book titled Autobiography of a Georgia Cat.

Good Morning!

I'm up.. I'm up... And it's not even 10:00 yet... And on a Saturday no less?!?!!?

Whassup!?!?!?!?

Well, I'll tell you whassup with that... I've been getting up each day this week automatically around 7:30. And then after wondering if I should just go ahead and get out of bed, I proceed to pull the covers back over my head and go back to sleep for a few more hours. Well, this morning, when I opened my eyes at 7:26 (according to the clock by my bed), I was feeling pretty rest and wide awake, so... *I also totally zonked out on the couch last night while watching TV. I guess I had dozed off around 10:15, and then I remember the news starting... Then I dragged myself into my room, and continued zonking out in my own bed. That is NOT a euphemism!

In any case...

I've already had my yogurt and granola, and now I'm semi-planning the rest of my day. I do have some laundry to take care of, and I'm guessing I could take care of a couple of the boxes in my room... Hmm....

...And as for all the boxes... Mentally, I'm still in that declutter mode. However, "practically" I just don't feel like dealing with them right now. Sort of.

Everytime I walk into my room, I do a little mental inventory of the boxes. -I know there's stuff I need in that one. -Most of the contents of that one can be thrown out. -There are only a few things in that box, and those can go right on the shelves. -Etc., etc., etc.

I just have the sense that once I start with one box, I'm gonna go through all of them. Which is not a bad thing, but I do want to break the project into smaller projects... I think...

As for the Topic of the Day...

I honestly can't remember the last book I read in it's entirety. -Except for maybe the 2007 Zagat Restaurant Guide for NYC. Sad, but true. Of course, I've continued buying books semi-regularly, but I don't think I've really made a dent in any of them.

The one that immediately comes to mind is Amy Sedaris' "I Like You - Hospitality Under the Influence" which is best taken in snippets and small doses anyway.

Otherwise, the last book I know I read in it's entirety and actually remember and recommend to others is bk's "Writer's Block".

And, yes, I know I have some catching up to do.
