The book I am reading is not particularly interesting, but it is good at putting me to sleep

I got a call from Miss Merrill Grant tonight - she's fine, and is actually coming to California on Thursday, but up north to see her folks.

What does "West Side Story" is playing at the Grauman's" mean?

I was watching this one reel filler on TCM called Will Williams' in Hollywood.

It must have been filmed sometime in early 1962 because the girl was driving a red 1962 Chevrolet convertible and she was dressed and wigged to resemble Miss Marilyn Monroe.

She started at Paramount Studios, went to Hollywood & Vine near the American Airlines Building and then to Grauman's where WSS was showing.  Then she drove around and saw some of the studios, including The King Bros Productions, and James Stewart's house in Beverly Hills, and then the graves of Douglas Fairbanks, Tyrone Power, and Gary Cooper.  And then she went to Marineland of the Pacific and then back to Paramount.

Very interesting.   8)

Do you know that by Wednesday I shall be 200 pages into the new book, with approximately 70 pages to go from that point on.  The home stretch, as we like to call it.

ok- find a post of the person who you want to messege, and click their name ( in the blue letters that turn red). That will open their personal page. At the bottom of that page reads more blue words that say "Send this member a private message." click them and from there it is just like typing a reply post.

And they're coming around the corner into the home stretch.

I will only say that I am enjoying Act Two of THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH much more than I did Act One.

A couple of months ago, I began doing something on the film music board - I titled a thread IN PRAISE OF...  and then went on to praise Mr. Johnny Mandel.  This week I did it again, about the new disc of Dave Grusin's score to Author! Author! which also includes Mr. Mandel's discarded score.  Once again, I titled the thread IN PRAISE OF...

And that's going to be my thing - except someone has already ripped it off.  Isn't that funny?
