OPERA ALERT:

Many local PBS television stations will be broadcasting Eugene Onegin from the Met this coming Thursday night.

Oh!  What role will he be singing?

Tch!  He's not a singer--he's the conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra!

Jose, did you make sure that hunky van driver knew exactly which apartment was yours?  You never know when the poor lad may need to borrow a glass of water or seek shelter for a night!

Or maybe, the next time he drives you home, "accidentally" trip and pretend to twist your ankle so he'll have to help (carry??) you all the way to your apartment. ;D

The hotel where I stayed in Tiffin this past weekend was populated by a rather large contingent of "little French boys."  We never did figure out why they were there, but we're pretty sure it wasn't for the American Association of University Women.

And that made in Florida favorite WILD WOMEN OF WONGO!!

I saw the still-in-development musical version of WWoW at NYMF two years ago.  Lots of fun.

DR JoseS, the Dressing Room sounds fine to me, if it's ok with DR FJL.

I shall make the reservation shortly.

I had the same impression.  BIG VOICE, though.

Sadly, IMO, she released a single of "You Light Up My Life"....which I hope NEVER TO HEAR AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME.

There's a waitress/singer at Don't Tell Mama's that does a rather hysterical pardody of "You Light Up My Life", titled, "You F*cked Up My Life".   It always brings a smile to my face.  :D

And my favorite line:A great 7-page read!

It's been great reading all the stories in various publications this week in conjunction with the BAM Barbara Stanwyck Film Festival.  Lots of facts, and lots of good dish.

Well, at least I don't have to feel too guilty about eating some of the

Ballreich's Marcelled Potato Chips

that one of my Friday panelists had her husband bring at the end of our program.  Each speaker got a box containing 2 1-lb bags of chips that had just come off the production line at the plant there in Tiffin.

I have no idea how the people who were flying back to Texas, New Jersey, and Washington, DC, that night handled those boxes.

Just what makes them "Marcelled"?

A play is like a dinner for six with Mozart playing, says Graciela Daniele.  A musical is like a chaotic Italian family dinner for 20, in the summer, at the beach.

!

Or...

People who love sausages and musicals should never see how they're made.

How much inquiry did you make into this laptop before buying it?  Please don't tell me it came in a Crackerjax box or you got it with trading stamps!

PS Safe flight, DR MBarnum!

I suspect the salesman was Indian, Pakistani or Egyptian...  Or 80-years old.  ;)

How tight are the musicians?

Shall I list according to seating arrangement or score order?
