Jose do you want extension vibes or not, I'm not sure what to wish you at this point.

I'm not sure either.  An extra week of work is always nice.  And the cast and crew of All About Us have truly become one big family by this point.  Alas, the daily commute is getting to me - that's basically "half" my work day, and, frankly, we're all getting paid a nice wage, but it's not "scale", so...  I make more money - Can you say rent? - playing two days of audition than I do playing a week of shows up at Westport.  (Sorry for the full, partial disclosure.)

I know, I know.  I had to think about that post before posting it.

Actually, JoseClone, you sound in a better mood already.  Is your van driver there?

Alas, no, James is not here.  And I will miss him tomorrow night since I'll be taking the train back with DRs elmore and FJL.

New paint. There is a glare from the flash, though.

In honor of Mr William Shakespeare I watched sections of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (1981) from the BBC/PBC Complete Works of Shakespeare with Helen Mirren and Peter McEnery as Titania and Oberon.  The lovers were wonderful, quite funny, and their fight in the forest was the funniest staging I've seen.  I didn't know the ladies but Demetrius and Lysander were played by Robert Lindsay of ME AND MY GIRL and Nicky Henson.

It's such an amazing play, completely tangled, yet everything falls together beautifully, and the language is amazing.  The imaginative score, sounding late 17th-Century, was by the late Stephen Oliver who composed the score for the Royal Shakespeare company's NICHOLAS NICKLEBY.

...And speaking of "Friday the 13th"...  I was just reading the NY Times review of the George Street Playhouse production of Falsettos.  Mark Nelson is playing Mendel.  -I believe he was/is the first to get the axe in "Friday the 13th", although, I believe he is drowned rather than getting the axe, literally.   -I remember seeing him in Brighton Beach Memoirs on Broadway as the older brother, and, later on as Picasso in Lapin Agile.

I've known Mark Nelson since 1979 and never knew he sang!

In honor of Mr. Shakespeare, I had bacon for dinner.  Well, I called it Shakepeare, but it really was bacon.

Aside from The Last Picture Show, did Timothy Bottoms ever give a good performance - he's certainly terrible in this Pakula film.

I worked with one of his brothers on another dreadful film. He was awful in it, but the script was so horrible that I cn't blame him.

It probably would have been better if it had been more...exploitative.
