"Action" (all 13 episodes of the acclaimed, yet cancelled, Fox TV series about the wacky banalities of Hollywood).

This is one of my favorite TV comedies. I'll never forget Jay Mohr, playing an insidious movie producer, telling Scott Wolf to "Go back to Party of Five Foot Two."

When "Action" was originally on TV, I remember that I'd read that it was going to cancelled with so many more episodes still to be shown and the producers tried to create an ending to the series within that number of episodes.

Someone mentioned last night they were going to prepare meat loaf for today (was it you, DR Ginny, or was it DR Laura?) At any rate, it was a great suggestion, and I'm going to prepare that for my lunch today, too. Haven't had it in several weeks, so I'm looking forward to it.

I know that this is really SWW's area of expertise, but Tyler Florence had a recipe for his Dad's Meatloaf with Tomato Relish, that looked so yummy that I may have to make it this weekend.

What time is dinner again? I need to meet with a loan specialist first about taking out a second mortgage so I can pay for this extravagant dinner.  ;D

Tonight, we have a mix of old and new on TV. Fox, of course, has new episodes of IDOL and HOUSE.

ABC is showing the BOSTON LEGAL episode that got preempted last week.

CBS has new episodes of NCIS and THE UNIT before rerunning a crime drama at 10.

NBC has a new DATELINE before reruns of both LAW & ORDER shows.

THE SHIELD is new, of course.

I would be interested to know if there is anyone else, here at the site, that really enjoys NCIS, but can't stand THE UNIT.  I would rather sit through a 3-hour Pledge Drive featuring the musical stylings of Zamfir, than watch a single moment of THE UNIT.  Yuck!

Forgot to mention: I viewed The History Boys on DVD last evening.  I had not seen the stage production, so can't judge the adaptation, but for me it was a very satisfying film.  Well written, and well acted.

It should be well acted, those guys have had almost three yers of rehearsals.

Well, it looks like a couple of the "Grease: You're the One That I Want" finalists won't be relegated to relative obscurity. ;)

"Grease" Finalists to Appear in NYC Reading of College: The Musical[/i].

The article says:  "Juliana Ashley Hansen and Adam Shorsten — finalists on NBC's "Grease: You're the One that I Want" — will be among the cast of an upcoming reading of College: The Musical.

And then:

Billed as "a tuneful and honest look at modern campus life," College: The Musical follows "the story of Nathan, a naive but enthusiastic freshman, as he discovers a world of parties, pizza, pastel polo shirts, the occasional class, and of course, more parties."

I wish I had meatloaf for dinner.

My sister makes the world's best meatloaf.

My sister will probably make meatloaf and macaroni and cheese for my niece's birthday party dinner.

I hope to see you too.  I'm just trying to figure out where you would park.  Hmm...

-I just hope we start as close to "on time" tonight as possible.  Last Thursday, due to seating issues and special introductions during the curtain speech, we did not start the show until 8:16 - which meant we did not come down until 8:29.  That made for some frantic cab rides to the train station apparently.

No wonder there is no intermission - a 13-minute show?

DR Jane, Motel6 allows dogs.

Right & thank you, I forgot.  There isn't one near the school, but if we have to stop on the road for the night I will watch for one.

Jose, I would never manage to drive such a LONG distance so late at night.  I'm not sure if I can manage it earlier in the day.  I hope you are right & we beat the rush hour traffic out of there.

All dressed up and ready to go.  I only live 10 minutes away from the restaurant, but I feel like strolling down the Boulevard on such a fine day.

If Craig's flight gets in on time, and customs doesn't take too long, you should be able to get on the road before the major rush hour crush.  Pittsburgh is about four and a half to five hours away from DC,

I have no idea how long customs for a dog will take.

MapQuest says 4 hours and 8 minutes.  God I hope it doesn't take any longer, I won't make it.  I wish I was one of these people, like you, who can drive long distances, and enjoy it.

I wish I could say I was looking forward to "American Idol" tonight.

I am not, however.  I am so tired of this show.

The only reason I watch is to enjoy Melinda's singing and to vote for her.
