I'm sitting here in my office with the window open and the most wonderful cool breeze is blowing in...

Waiting for Mar(t)y Poppins to help with the chores :)

DR Emcee Cason, I wish I could see you in CABARET. You will be a brilliant emcee. We all expect lots of pictures, of course!

Maybe ask Michael Jackson?

I thought he sold his ownership of their catalog to pay (in part) for the extensive legal fees he owed.

Here's the Rector in question, at the church where my DH serves as organist:

This invites "Parishioner Caught Playing With Rector's Organ" comments.

I'm heading down now to do a load of laundry (sheets and towels), and then I'll think about what's for lunch.

Beatles Catalog To Be Remastered, Offered Online
The Beatles' entire back catalog will soon be available for download - but only when each track has been digitally remastered to perfection. Up until now, the Fab Four are one of the few acts to have resisted making their work available at the iTunes Music Store. They were similarly the last stars to release their catalog onto compact disc.

But the boss of their record label Apple Corps, Neil Aspinall, revealed the development in London's High Court, where the company is currently battling Apple Computer over its logo.

He said, "We're remastering the whole Beatles catalog, just to make it sound brighter and better and getting proper booklets to go with each of the packages. I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them both simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc."

No.  The Campbell Apartment.

;)

*However, if you do really want a true cocktail, the bartenders at the Campbell Apartment really know their mixology.  And it's also just such a cool place to have a drink.

On the subject of CABARET, I really love the new revisal with one exception: Cliff's singing role has been seriously diminished, and I don't understand the rationale behind that at all. Unlike the film where all the songs not done in performance or a public domain (the outdoor scene)were eliminated, the CABARET revisal still retains book numbers for the other characters. Cliff's wonderful songs should also be retained.

I didn't mind Cliff's songs being cut in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall revisal.  I think it helped to set apart Cliff as more of an observer - which is what I think Mssrs. Mendes and Marshall had in mind.

DR SWW - I highly recommend Spenco Insoles.  Well worth the not-so-expensive investment.

And now that I've folded my laundry (that I did last week!?!!?), and cleared my desk in my room, it's time for me to get ready to head up to Westport.  Ah, my last Metro-North Hudson Line trip up.  For work at least. Or whatever.

BK, I won't blame you if you decide not to venture over to the show today...it really was deadly slow yesterday and most of the celebrities started packing it up at around 4pm (the show went on until 6pm).

I am off to scrounge up some eats and then help Steve set up Laurie's table. Steve, Laurie's son, is great...it is like having one of my brothers here!

Wasn't the Astor Bar on 42nd and Seventh? After witnessing his Roman hands and Russian fingers, I suspect DR Jose would be the pincher.

I believe you did exactly the right thing, you have been there every moment for your mom and she could not have asked for a better daughter.

Please accept your friends's offer to be with you, I wish circumstances would allow me to make the same offer.

If you need to talk , you have my numbers  - call anytime

Mornin' all !  I'm back from the Land of LA -- and how can I ever catch up on all the informative -- as well as all of those whimsical gratuitous -- postings?!  Arrrgg!  But I will go back and see what I can do....

Vibes to DR Danise -- and to others dealing wth HHW parental unit health issues.  What's the latest on DR Celt's dad?

Hey, Rodzinski was here lurking, but he didn't post.  I guess having your name thrown around on Playbill every day, makes you a little standoffish from the crowd.
