Sad to say I have never watched the Lawrence Welk show.  I've also never tasted cherry coke!

Back from a surprise birthday party, at which the surprise was blown by the hostess at the restaurant asking the birthday boy "Are you here for the party?"

DR MattH, after reading your comments about GHOST WHISPERER I could swear i saw a to be continued at the end. But maybe that was this week's MEDIUM?

Definitely MEDIUM and HEROES had that. If GHOST WHISPERER had it, I didn't see it.

I think you mighr be mistaken about the public domain song if you mean the scene at the beer garden where the blond boy and the patron sing Tomorrow Belongs Tom Me. That song is a Kander/Ebb.

If this isn't the scene you mean which one is it?

Dear Michael, not public domain as in "not covered by copyright." Public domain as in out in a public place and performing.

Sheesh!

I finished LIVE AND LET DIE first tonight. I still had about 15 minutes or so to go. The new repurposed DTS surround track really enhanced the movie.

Next, I put in GOLDENEYE. I watched it with the DTS 5.1 sound rather than the Dolby Digital 5.1 track which was on the original DVD.

If the DVD is misframed (some people have said the image has been zoomed in a little from the original issue), I couldn't see any difference in the couple of scenes I compared. And even if it is zoomed, the quality of the transfer is leagues better than the old one. The old one looks very dated now, and I was surprised how mediocre it looked when compared to the new one.

I have been reading law practice management articles on the net. Everytime I do that it makes me nervous. I was really looking for suggestion on color for walls in law offices, but got into finance and billing and malpractice and all sorts of fun stuff instead

SUPERNATURAL had a good episode concerning the spirit of a wicked nurse haunting a prison where she used to work. Wonderfully suspenseful episode, but they're going to have law enforcement in every state looking for them before the series runs its course.

I concluded my evening of viewing with the James Cagney/Bette Davis romantic comedy THE BRIDE CAME C.O.D. They're a fun twosome together even with the mediocre script they're performing. And lots of great character actors in this one: Jack Carson, Harry Davenport, Stu Erwin, William Frawley, Chick Chandler, Eugene Pallette, Edward Brophy. They can make even middle-of-the-road material entertaining.

DR Danise, you are the absolute best!  Don't feel bad about anything.  You can't worry about barking in moments of stress.  Your mother knows how much you care and she's frightened.  You are doing fine and you spelled both aorta and aneurism correctly.  I send my love.
