Okay wow. You really like mirna? I can see why people would like charla. She is sort of nice. And i suppose mirna has her moments. But 99% of the posts i've read cannot stand mirna. Her fake accent. Her mean comments towards her cousin. And her general rude behavior.

But i think the editing has tried to make her look good at times. Especially last night.

I am not surprised you liked oswald and danny though. Everyone seemed to like them. However i think they really blew it these last 2 weeks.

DR Danise, I was also wondering why you were thinking about going back to work. They really should give paid leave for things like this. It's enough to just deal with the situation. But to have to worry about work too is a lot.

I'm back from a lovely dinner party at Steve Ross' apartment. I saw several old friends and hopefully made a few new ones. The food was lovely and the musical theatre game after was fun.

Had some good viewing experiences this evening.

I began with last night's WITHOUT A TRACE, a sad story of a missing divorce judge. The story didn't go anywhere one might have expected with that as a job for the missing man, so it was quite interesting and entertaining.

Next, I watched the first episode on disc 4 of THE WILD WILD WEST, Season 2. It was called "The Night of the Skulls," a kind of courtroom and trial run by the most violent criminals imaginable. None of the actors in the major guest roles were actors I was familiar with. Usually there is at least one I know either by face or voice, but in this one, none at all.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER had a wonderful episode with three storylines going - Ted trying to get the right toast for the upcoming wedding, Lily trying to gain weight so she could fit into her wedding dress, and, most hilariously, Barney trying to connect with his "father," Bob Barker by playing THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

OLD CHRISTINE had some funny moments, too, as Christine and Richard reconnected, just as they did momentarily at the end of last season. Maybe they're going to end EVERY season like this. There were some funny moments.

'24' certainly had some tense scenes as Jack, Mike, and company continued their efforts to stop the Chinese from using the microchip for their war-inclined purposes. Some great surprises tonight, and I was SO happy to see the traitor exposed quickly rather than dragging it out over two or three episodes. The show has done lots of things wrong this season, but this is one thing they've done right from the beginning - moved the various plots along with uncompromising speed.

HEROES, of course, was the night's best show, a gripping view of the future with many twists on old formulas, lots of information which may or may not come true exactly as we saw it, and just edge-of-your-seat tension. Loved it.

I'll still have THE SOPRANOS and tonight's CSI: MIAMI to watch tomorrow. The latter show advertised some unexpected developments with lab personnel, something I'm not exactly looking forward to.

As for the Topic o' the Day, I don't know much from art, aside from pieces from the Fingerpainting School. And I drew a picture of a fishy cracker that is currently hanging on the fridge. The three-year-olds with me titled it "Googie-Eyes: A Yellow and Green Fishy Cracker."

Oh yeah, and Rembrandt rides my bus.

There was a commercial for the local news, and there was a thing about a guy in Phoenix who dresses up in a cape and tights and calls himself a super hero. At the end of the commercial, it said, "Watch the newscast. Save the world."
