DR Cillaliz - Are you sure you don't need to make a shopping trip to NYC for that new office of yours ;) ?

DH Richard and I didn't renew our subscription to the Broadway series here in Dayton when we got an invoice for almost $700.  We decided we'd rather put that amount of money toward a trip to New York.

The brithday greetings keep coming.  :)  I'd forgotten I'd signed up for a Celine Dion fan site four years ago to get better seats to her show in Vegas and they must have asked for my birthdate back then, because I just got a very sweet form email wishing me "Happy Birthday from Celine."

I can't remember whether Celine remembered my birthday last year.  :)

     ;D    :D   HOORAY & HUZZAH !!     8)

The skies were mild here at DFW..... the approach was smooth... and we just slid right in with no problem.

Now if the connecting flight to Phoenix just goes as planned, all will be well, and I'll be back in the desert in another 3 or 4 hours.

MUCHO THANKO  for all of the weather and travel vibes!

... Jeanne Cooper ? ... JEANNE COOPER ??  ... Whatever happened to real genuine stars, like Lucille Wall, and John Beradino, and Rachel Ames, and the wonderful old character actor who played "Angie's father" for a number of seasons??

(   ;)  I just thought I'd have a curmudgeon moment.  )

Oh... I didn't realize it was that close to Indy.  I may need to be there sometime in the next couple of months to take care of some business.  If so, maybe we could grab a bite and say hello.

Re: last night's VERONICA MARS

I really don't see anybody watching it now if they have not seen it before.  I really pray that it gets renewed for next year (is it doubtful?). But i hope they go back to their winning formula.  This is one of the best shows on air.  And i hope they are allowed to go back to their winning formula.

Yes, it's doubtful. There are other shows that do worse than VERONICA, but not much is expected of them, and the quality of VERONICA demands that it be seen to pay off. It has a huge cast of characters and if the ratings aren't high enough, ads won't cover costs.

The ratings will determine whether it will be renewed or not, and if so, what form the next season will take. I haven't been to VARIETY to see the ratings yet but will go there this afternoon and report later.

The creator of the show has presented the CW with two possible scenarios for the fourth season: another season with Veronica in college and a jump ahead in time with Veronica at the FBI and minus all the cast we have now except her dad. No decision has been reached.

Lucille Wall and Rachel Ames would make short work of any of these skinny bee-yotches masquerading as "actresses" on soaps today.

And still have energy to do a scene or two!

Thanks to my long-lost lookalike brother, Ron Pulliam.  (I keep thinking you should be celebrating with the family on Sunday, along with my brother who looks nothing like me.  :) )

I've had a very full afternoon of viewing. Got all but one show watched plus two WILL & GRACE episodes at the end.

I began with last night LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. It was a "ripped from the headlines" story taken from that scandal between the astronauts some months back. Fun episode with Tate Donovan playing one of the astronauts. The mystery was pretty basic, but I still enjoyed it.

BOSTON LEGAL had some funny moments, and a couple of touching ones, too.

And the lawyers of Crane, Poole, and Schmidt lost some cases, rare for this show.

HOUSE had a rather frantic episode with two brothers desperately ill, one needing the other's bone marrow to survive and the other brother too sick to donate. I enjoyed it though I felt the resolution was very rushed.

THE SOPRANOS dealt with Tony's gambling addiction and its cost to his sense of security and relationship with his family. Kind of strange this addiction being brought to the forefront so late in the run of the series.

One WILL & GRACE episode dealt with jack having trouble with one of his new nursing teachers (played by Lea Delaria). Grace was back from Cambodia having left Leo because he was gone working all the time.

I think this was about when Grace's selfishness and all-consuming need for attention began to seriously impair the show's comic potential. She has become so obnoxious at this point in the show that she's unpleasant to be around. I'm not sure I ever liked her character much after this point in the sixth season.

The other W&G episode dealt with both Will & Grace inadvertantly picking up dates at a restaurant. Will didn't mention to the girl paying him attention that he was gay and Grace didn't mention to the guy that she was married.

The jilted girl was played by the actress who plays the perky resident on GREY'S ANATOMY. Tom Everett Scott played the guy.

Candace Bergan had a cameo in the show.
