DR Michael S - I not that familiar with the "Stavisky" operetta track, but they credit for the song is "Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim".  And the opening lines go like this:

The world's full of girls
Who are waiting to be kissed
Waiting to be kissed,
Oops! There's one I missed!

The world's full of girls
And I'm making up a list
'Cause I'm gonna miss 'em
Each and ev'ry one.

etc., etc., etc...

*Somewhere in my "archives", I also have this in manuscript from the Library of Congress files.  If I should ever come across those...

Well, the proverbial merde will hit the fan in Ohio today: I just got a copy of the email the estate's attorney sent to my brothers regarding the famous "loan" my father made to their company and which the Macbeths contend has no documentation.  I believe Lady M destroyed the cancelled check while my father was staying with them April-July 2006, before he wised up and moved out.  I'm still waiting for bank records from 2001-2005 to show up in the mail in my effort to locate a copy.  At any rate his inquiry into adding the outstanding balance owed my dad into the estate's inventory (I need the cancelled check to determine the balance) will have repercussions, I'm sure.

Hee hee hee!

I'd suspect it was whatever package he was delivering.  Right, DR Jose?

Question for Ask BK Day...

What one - or two - props and/or costumes from any of the Broadway (or off-, or L.A., tour, etc.) shows you've seen would you like to have?  -If you don't have them already.

DR elmore - Only because my parents had to deal with tracking down a cancelled check last year... If you know the amount of the check - or at least that it was between "this amount" and "that amount", you can always have the bank just sort through the records for that amount.  Yes, there will most likely be an "investigation fee", but you might get an answer sooner rather than later.

I was not surprised with who left. It was the right choice (billy ray). But i was quite surprised with the 2nd team in the bottom 2. I was sure it would be ian and cheryl (yet they were declared safe first).I was really shocked that joey and kym were B2 (since all along i had thought they would win.

I am really happy my fav is doing well (apolo). I just love him and julianne. So cute.

Re: last night's AMERICAN IDOL.

I must say i just HATE that they have to sing the songs of one group (BeeGees this time). I can live with "country" or "rock". But making them sing BeeGee songs was just stupid. If they want to have a certain mentor then why not have 70s week or something like that.

I assume lakisha will go.  But really the show was too enjoyable.

I also thought blake did better than the judges said.

I assumed based on what the judges said that blake and lakisha would be B2. But dialidol has blake and melinda has the top 2, with melinda and lakisha as B2.  I actually think that blake being the only guy left is going to help him tremendously.

Plus what the heck was randy saying about blake (saying he doesn't have to do beatboxing in every song). That is what makes him stand out. And he did not do it for like 6 weeks in a row.  Now that it is coming down to the finals i think he needs to do the beatboxing. He needs to give his fans what they want and play up to his strengths.

I really hope melinda does not go.

Two (count 'em) posting days for me in less than a week--a recent record!!  :)

I'm expecting the UPS man today, too--I got one of those automated calls last night telling me a package was coming.  Our JVC camcorder was getting this weird "lens cap" message even in broad daylight, and we Googled and found out it was some sort of sensor error that affected thousands of camcorders, and, believe it or don't, JVC was offering to fix it for free, even if your warranty had expired (which ours had, by a longshot).

So we will have the camcorder back in time for all the end of school events.  The whole thing took less than 3 weeks--I have to say for once I am impressed with customer service (I guess I should wait until I've tried the darn thing to make sure it works).

DR matth, you will have to let me know the minute you find out if they will be renewing this show.  I am quite upset that gilmore girls is ending next week. And i would not want to lose this show too. :(

SPOILERS

Okay now my thoughts on last night's show.

I still miss the big mystery of the season. That was the heart of the show for me.  But i am enjoying getting to see a lot of the cast (mac, piz, wallace...).

The mystery was sort of lame.  I mean while veronica was solving it it was okay. But the actual outcome was sort of dumb.  But it was still entertaining to go on the journey.

I sort of liked the whole max/logan/mac thing.

I thought paul rudd was good and his song was good.  And it was nice to see veronica and piz work on this mystery together.

I am a big LOVE fan (Logan and veronica). But i thought the end with veronica grabbing piz' hand was quite sweet and romantic.

Overall i've seen better shows. But i still love this show, even if it is starting to be a little more romance and less mystery.

Blake was the worst performer last night.  Not even debatable in my mind.  His beatboxing was forced, did NOT work well with either song. He is the weakest voice in the final four and the weakest final four contestant ever, vocally, IMO.

He'll probably win it all.  It would serve all his supporters right.  And they should all be required to buy everything he records in the future...beatboxing and all.  They'd all be driven stark raving mad in short order.

That said, I thought Jordin was blah in both songs.  I thought Lakisha was really good in both songs.

I thought Melinda was terrific.

But, que sera sera.  If Melinda isn't going to win it, I'd just as soon she left tonight and spare me from having to watch the show any longer.

I'd actually prefer to see Blake or Jordin go.

Ask BK:

I was wondering if you auditioned for the Partridge Family spinoff  "Getting Together" The role of Lionel seemed to right up your alley.

And whatever happened to Wes Stern who did the role? He did a couple of Love  American Style and several episodes of Rhoda and then????

Nope.  The L-word does not make an appearance - at least after an initial scan of the song.  However, the "F-word" does.
