Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I squeaked at Lowe's about the tilemen, and they will be here tomorrow.

In the news:  FRACAS IN BOSTON

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Concert-goers, and even Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart, were caught off-guard when a fight broke out on opening night at usually sedate Symphony Hall.

Television video of the fight Wednesday night showed two men struggling in the balcony -- one with his shirt pulled off -- as several people stood around them.

Lockhart briefly halted the performance, which featured singer-songwriter Ben Folds, while the men were escorted out.

Witnesses said they heard a scream from the balcony, and the sound of chairs falling, then a second scream as the fight escalated.

"The first time there was a scream, Keith looked up that way but he kept going," audience member June MacIndoe told Boston's WHDH-TV. "Then about a minute and a half later...there was a big scream and you could hear chairs falling over and you could see them up there, fists going."

At that point, Lockhart stopped the performance for a couple of minues, she said. "He just stood there, you know, quiet."

Boston police spokesman David Estrada said police officers on security detail at the hall escorted the men off the property, and no charges were filed. No injuries were reported, he said.

A Boston Symphony spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.

Apparently one man told the other that the artist was Ben Fold.  The other  man misunderstood and thought he had told hm to Bend and hold.

Simple minded sounds so cruel, DR MBarnum.  I prefer to think of you as clueless.

DR Jose just left.  The man's a genius.  No matter how much I kick him around, I'm so grateful to have him as a friend and colleague.  He just zipped through chord changes on a lead sheet I've been working on, and I couldn't have finished it without him.  I say, vive le Jose!

Hey, why is Jose a genius and I am clueless???

Yes, DR WOODY, I had a bit of a problem with that. I realize that many people loathe OJ Simpson--and I'm fine with that-- but there are many others who do abhorrent things. If you're running a business that's open to the public, maybe you need to be open to the public, provided no one is behaving badly in your establishment at that time. I do understand taking a stand and such, but he was acquitted.

I say "Bravo" to the restaurant owner.

Jose's chord changes are of the musical kind.  Your cord changes involve pants.

We're back from der B's doctor appointment.  His bloodwork was all fine and dandy.  And the doc gave him a better scrip for his infected ear.

We then did some shopping, and on the way back home stopped by a North Carolina-style BBQ joint and picked up a full slab of ribs, which were delish.

Chords/cords.

You may need to look these up in a dictionary.

It's a pun, laddie.

Personally, I believe restaurant owners do have the right to refuse service.  If a known criminal element were to come into a restaurant I owned, I would not want them there - they would scare off the customers I do want as customers.

In the case of OJ, the very next customer to come in and be seated at the very same table was none other than Michael Jackson.  So much for OJ's lawyer claiming racism in this case.

...As to celebutramp Hilton,... If Ahnuld seriously cosiders pardoning the moron, he's even dumber than I already think he is.
There is no way he'd buckle under to a letter writing campaign on behalf of Paris.

However, an arguement could be made that anyone having to share a cell with the self-absorbed Hilton would undergo a form of inhumane punishment.  Forty-five days in solitary is the only way I can think of to avoid this.

Preferably in a soundproofed, padded cell.

And no chihuahua to dangle as an accessory, neither before or after the fact.

I say "Bravo" to the restaurant owner.

Doing what the restaurant owner did would be illegal here -- France, that is! -- Besides, as DR Jeanne pointed out, O.J.S. has been judged and we can't go over what Justice has decided in our name. AND I'm one of those people who think that O.J.S. is a murderer!

Ohh... Since I believe I did not mention it the other night...

During my visit to the ACL pit, I continued to share the Joy of Levain.  It's amazing how many cookies can be consumed during Paul's monologue. ;)
