PAGE 13 SOUL ON FIRE DANCE!!

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%][/move]

I'm now off to attend Harlequin Productions' Volunteer Appreciation dinner and to see the final dress rehearsal of their revue, "Soul On Fire!"  I'm so glad that I'm seeing this for free!  Their ticket prices are $34-$38!  For local theater!  And it's a revue that they created! ::) But it'll be very good. :)

Thanks, DR Jose for the transportation information.

I'm so thrilled for you starting as a sub for A Chorus Line!  Are you likely to know in advance when you'll be "in" or is it more of a spur-of-the-moment thing?

I think we'll be setting up a schedule.  Plus be on-call as it were.  I'm just glad it seems like it will be a regular schedule.  Otherwise, frankly, I would not sub in.  I know people who don't mind subbing in once every four weeks.  Not I.

George, CABARET at Civic Light Opera last week was $35.00 a ticket.  I was shocked.  It was still community theater, even if it is in Seattle.

I remembered my question for ASK BK DAY!  I had actually copied it to a Word document and saved it...here it is:

BK, I have a question about the score to "The Creature Wasn’t Nice."  In the liner notes, you wrote about David Spear not wanting to listen to the temp track that you had put together for the film and you didn't make him listen to it and that the main title theme that he wrote wasn't the right style for what you wanted.  Assuming that David has since seen the movie, does/did he agree with you that the opening theme wasn't right for the opening?  Is there any possibility for David (or even you) to rewrite or adapt it so that it's closer to what you had originally wanted?  Assuming that money is no object, would either of you have the time or even the interest to do that?

I can't speak for David, but he has a very healthy ego so I doubt he agrees with me.  I don't think he's be interested in rewriting it, and certainly I wouldn't it, so I'm afraid we live with it.  If you want to hear the main title music I used in the temp track - it's Dimitri Tiomkin's Main Title to The Thing.

Yay!

Well, everything apart from the spot you disliked, has been cut by me.

Did you submit any questions for the webcast tomorrow on tv guide.com?

WELL - I got out this with my hide in tact; I waited a few days before I had the courage to dis the spot I disliked.

No on asking questions - if I do that I just know I'll cause trouble 8)

Today, it was operational only in the audio-visual department and they were handing out chocolate to people for trying it.  Tomorrow we go live at the main desk, where people check out books.  Reserves are now self-serve, too.

I you offer free candy in the main room the homeless therein gathered will be delighted!

We opted to dine out at Las Toltecas - I had a nice Mango Daquiri to start.

I shall tape Good Eats for Woody and watch Traveler while he curls up with a good book.

This is the book that made Peter want to make the film. I think you will enjoy it!

And Peter's film made me want to read more of the letters, so I bought the book!

Back from rehearsal at the Avalon.    But they used to leave their doors open for some reason, so I used to sneak in there with my friend (the one portrayed in Kritzerland) and used to play with the lighting and do little made-up shows on the stage.

Paul? (You mentioned many friends in Kritzerland.)

It's getting time for the TOP CHEF Superchef duel between Seasons 1 & 2.  I'm watching the finale of Season 1 at the moment.  Lord, the bulldozer Tiffani is a mean bitch! I loved it when her underlings sent her down the river.

DRs SWW and DerBrucer - Just how was the crab meat you bought packed?  Was it jarred? or sold loose and in a bag/plastic container?  Fresher is always better when it comes to crab meat, imho.

And simpler is always better too. Just take an avocado, half it, take the pit out, and fill it with the crab meat.  Maybe a squeeze of lemon juice, a dab of mayo if you like, and some capers.  Dinner is served.

Or there are always crabcakes.

Speaking of whores on MySpace, this is a "friend request" I just got, and it offends me.  I'm not prudish by any means, but I see this site as a networking site and I'm not particularly interested in soliciting hookers and adult sites here.

And MBarnum, do you know about this book that I'm also just ordering:  King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema?

Here's that cover:

I do know of this book DR George. Shah Rukh Khan is one of my least favorite of the current Bollywood actors...however I am in the minority on that in that Mr. Khan is probably the # 1 box office draw in India and abroad.

Of course I have only seen him in film clips, having never sat down to watch one of his films. Let me know what you think of the book.

Dear BK and dear Dear Readers,

Do you have a lucky pencil, pen, crayon, or other writing implement?

I have a hunter green Cross pen that I've had for almost twenty years that I consider my lucky pen.

Sooo close! Sooooo close!

The new vanity is taller than original one; so the mirror had to come down for the vanity to fit. We haven't yet found a replacement. Plus, he needed another part for the drain pipe, since the vanity is taller.

We have a tub/shower, a toilet, but the sink isn't working yet.

I began my evening of viewing with the last ANGEL episode on disc 4. Alyson Hannigan guest starred coming back into Angel's life in attempting to return his spirit into the evil Angellus.

We still have Cordy to deal with now that the Angellus story arc has ended (thank goodness).
