Subtitles - never a problem here.  Within a few minutes I forget I'm reading. I was pleased that the local cinema showed La Vie En Rose with the subtitled version.

Danny is also my favourite character.  I love the fact that show also cons its audience by leaving you hoping and guessing. I suspect it is the only time I've liked Robert V.

I had never seen or heard of Marc Warren (Danny Blue) prior to HUSTLE, but his performance here certainly makes me interested in seeing his other work.

Thanks to all the the wonderful HHW vibes Dog Bosco is happy, healthy and currently lounging in the back yard in a drugged out haze. He has more painkillers in him then Lindsay Lohan.

Freddy seems to be keeping watch on him.

It turned out that Bosco had two broken teeth...both are now gone.

It cost me $463.00 to learn that bones and cow hooves are not good for dogs teeth. They break them. For now on it is only pig ears for this doggie!

Robert Vaughn's character is intriguing--older man, very distinguished, just perfect as the "roper"! And he is sooo smooth!

One of my favorite scenes: when Danny sits down in a bar next to the young grifter and lifts item after item off him--his wallet, his pen, etc. Priceless!

Anyone who hasn't seen this series is in for a real treat and a great deal of fun.

Now for some dinner and a Bollywood movie...tonights feature is:

YEH RAASTEY HAIN PYAR KE (1963)

I know nothing about the plot, I just liked the way Sunil Dutt looked in the pilot uniform on the front cover of the DVD box...so I bought it.

Overheard from someone leaving the theater showing Life is Beautiful years ago...."It was a little hard to follow until about half way through when they started speaking English"   We burst out laughing.  The guy didn't know he just forgot he was reading

Glad to hear he's doing well.  I've had 2 cats who needed to have teeth pulled. It was scary for me, but it didn't seem to phase them. Hope it's the same for Bosco the dog

LOL Cilla.  But I do understand - you really do believe you are understanding the language after a while. It's an odd trick that the brain (that's a reference to something) plays.

Oh I understand too, but the guy really thought the language changed. He actually went back and watched it again before he would believe us.

Overheard at the video store the other day:

A man suggests a film to his female companion. She asks, "Does it have subtitles?" He says, "Yeah. You don't want subtitles?" She says, "No. I can't watch it while doing other stuff."

Pardon my French: what a jerk!

(You're supposed to WATCH a film; it's not a cd one listens to! Is this really the world we live in?! :-\)

Oh, really? I haven't heard of it, but I'll sure watch out for it. Thanks, Tomovoz, for letting me know. I'd like to see it.

There is great scene in Colour Me Kubrick where "Kubrick" attempts to con the young guy from "Hustle". A lovely "in joke" for the fans of the TV show.

Yes, Francois, my feelings exactly. Have people gotten so used to watching TV while doing other things that they do this to movies, too?

Oh, I bet it is. Do you think that people steer clear of the HUSTLE cast when they see them on the street?

Well, TV I can understand since most shows have Talking Heads and are like radio shows but... movies? Oy!

The great thing about Hustle is that the victims are so deserving.
