(inner thoughts) Just listening to the Brain CD.  That Cason is really really talented, and sure to make loads of dough that could support anyone claiming to be his immediate family in their old age.

Uh, Miss Karen, I mean Karen dear, darling, snooky - did you say something about airfare and sublets?

And when he procreates, you will have  Casettes.

Mikey, I walked past another place for you to visit: Papayadog.

Oh, let's eat there next time I am in town. I wonder what kind of food they serve?

From yesterday---Der B mentioned sylabub..my mom makes this at Christmas. I can't remember what all is in it but it is mighty tasty.

SYLLABUB

4 servings

¼ cup white wine or sherry
2 tablespoons brandy
Juice of 1 lemon
Pared rind of lemon (reserve ¼ for garnish)
4 tablespoon sugar
½ Pint of heavy cream
Dash of nutmeg

Mix first four items in bowl, cover, refrigerate over night.

Strain liquid into bowl, add sugar, stir until dissolved

Whip cream until it holds its shape in soft peaks; add nutmeg

Stir the wine mixture slowly into the whipped cream

Spoon gently into small glasses and chill before serving

Blanch the reserved rind gently in boiling water for 15 minutes, drain, cool.

Place a cluster of rind atop each serving

(Can be made a day in advance of serving; chardonnay is a nice wine choice)

Note: One must be possessed of a mixed temperament to prepare this dish, what with whipping then spooning gently

Hopefully, the name is not self-explanatory. :o

I'd thought of John Schneider, but to approach someone like him with rehearsals only a week away, would, I think, be folly and impossible.  Same with Bakula.  Had we gone that route three weeks ago as we did with Donny Osmond, there might have at least been interest.

This drink was a party favorite in Miss Jane Austen's novels.

MySpace should change their name to "The Day The Whores Came Out To Be Friends." I just denied friendship to six or seven young ladies, claiming their home base was China.  Here's the picture of one lovely.  I didn't bother checking out her page, since it's all the same as the others.

No One Is Alone:

My china gal wants to be a friend:

And she has a friend:

I've denied friendship to both of them.  I must get 6-10 whores a day wanting to know me better.  There sure are a lot in China.

Ron P - I believe Tom Wopat is doing A CATERED AFFAIR, the new musical at the Old Globe in San Diego in September.

Wacky Cake is very good.  My mom used to make it all the time when I was growing up (and out).

I'm sure that if I got an extension in HAIR, it would get even a bigger draw from this site than the last night of the BRAIN...

...just saying...

Well, I guess that would depend on the size of the part!

A CATERED AFFAIR, by the way, also stars Lelsie Kritzer, after whom the Kritzer novels (and in turn Kritzerland) were apparently named.

Yesterday a lot of posts were made discussing DR CASON's extension.

Yes, but we're still waiting for Heather's side of the story!! :o ::) ;)

What # is her extension, by the way!

Well, there's always the reunion show to think about...plus we can hike up merchandise prices when we finally get back on stage together.

I'm up, I'm up.  No news yet, so no news is good news.  One Joy suggestion was an actress I hadn't thought of, that I'd seen in a show several years ago - she was brilliant - not exactly what I had in mind for Joyce but could do it.  She's doing a NYMF show - cast by my guy - but I can't blame him since I just thought of her, and he wouldn't have because she's so different than the others we've been discussing.

And so - we wait.

You are correct, BK.  Elaine Stritch is an entirely different take for Joyce.

If anyone wants to revive Arthur Kopit's one act "The Day The Whores Came Out To Play Tennis," I'm ready to cast!  I just denied two more lovelies who don't look at all Asian, but their page tells me they live in China!

CONGRATS to JRAND for a fine FANTASTICKS performance, even when all around him sucked.

And I think it's also amazing that I've never even heard of it!

I mean, every time I go to London, I hear about THE MOUSETRAP.

Consider yourself very lucky, Edi.  I got suckered into seeing THE PERFECT CRIME about  ten years go.  It was HORRIBLE.  But the title fits.  They have been robbing theater audiences for years, and getting away with it.

Yes, a self-portrait but one can't tell because of the... balloon! ;)
