Everyone knows that college is supposed to lead you to happiness through your career. That's what I learned at Shonghai U.

DR Ron Pulliam - I remember "Dream House".  *And there are still times when I'm walking around The City wondering if the "dream house" is still there.  :)

LOL, DR Jane - I'm hoping there's still some Dulce De Leche for me tonight!  And I'd love to have you come to my book group sometime!

Dulce de Leche always makes me think of MAN OF LAMANCHA, for some reason...

I always wondered something about the ACL orchestrations... in "Music and the Mirror", during the (second?) dance break, what instrument makes the waka-waka sound?

Originally, it was an electric guitar with a "Wah-Wah" pedal.  Now, it's Keyboard 2 equipped with an extra "foot controller" that acts as a Wah-Wah pedal.

*It's the same effect in the last Montage during Richie's section - that descending scale right before he cusses.  ;)

Dulce de leche reminds me of GUYS & DOLLS. Particularly Peter Gallagher's poor pronunciation of it...

By the by, I am SHOCKED (!) that DR Cason has not yet mentioned that he actually had his first slice of the infamous Monkey Cake this very eve. Someone almost left the cake out in the rain, though...

Oh, a correction...

DR Joy - In the current orchestration of "Music and the Mirror", the wah-wah was "removed" by Mr. Tunick.  Instead, Key 3 - which was me tonight, it now on a sustained "synth pad".

And, yes, I did nap a few times during tonight's show.  But I did wake up in time for my entrances.

Well, most of them.  ::)

The cake was fantastic, the company somewhat sedate but wonderful - the "ambiance" was...lacking

DR elmore - I might be able to go tomorrow afternoon, so...  -However, I'm sort of relishing the thought of having a day off - well, at least the "day" off, since I'm back at ACL tomorrow night.

There was no need to.  The chair I use in the pit is an office chair.  And it reclines.
