OUCH!

-I can't wait for this mosquito bite on the back of my left leg to go away.  Thankfully, it doesn't itch, but it's right on top of my hamstring, so every time I move my leg I feel it.  Just sayin'.

I know you will all find this hard to believe, but all I care about is that people come and enjoy The Brain - all else is meaningless, especially "awards" voted on by friends and family who stuff the votes (which is exactly what I've been told happens with the Fringe shows).  I'm glad for all the FingeNYC "award" winners, but, in the end, for ME, it's all silly game-playing.

Watching something called How I Met Your Mother - bad jokes, and, like most comedies these days, it seems to be modeled structurally after Seinfeld.

The show can be uneven.  I don't really see the similarity with Seinfeld.  Only one of the main characters on this show is a shallow jerk.

Okay, I've been watching The Closer - let's forget whether it's good or not good - I think I'd have to see some other episodes so that I actually might know what it's about - but WHAT is this endless crap at the bottom of the screen advertising other shows during the entire show?  How are you supposed to stay involved with all that distracting type on the screen from beginning to end?  Takes you right out of the show - when did this start happening?

I would also ask who the female lead is and I would also say I find her accent extremely annoying, but maybe that's how the character is.  Nice to see some familiar faces with whom I've worked before.

So, is that why you read the chat boards?  ;)

Before that, I must say I watched the most repellent show - something about Swapping Wives or something - another hideous and crass "reality" show that has nothing, and I mean NOTHING, real in it.  Having worked on these shows, I can just see what goes on on the set and then in the editing room.

Hmm... Watching "Fat March"... Just because there was really nothing else on that I was interested in watching...

I want to know what the insurance rider is on this show.  Yes, I get the "motivation" behind making these people walk - in high heat - to cover a certain amount of miles in a certain amount of time, but, frankly, when it's hot enough that the soles of your shoes are actually melting, well... That's just plain stupid on everyone's part.

I certainly don't read the chat boards to read about ME.  I don't know why I read them, really, as I find them reprehensible, but I do enjoy taking people on and calling them on their inanity.  I feel it my duty.  And, as I've said, when The Brain actually begins performances, I will go nowhere near any board, whether posts are bad OR good.

The best thing I've seen on TV this evening was some woman preparing pork chops.

I agree with you on the tv thing, BK. I usually only turn it on to watch the news.

Bruce you really should watch THE CLOSER from the beginning to get to know the characters and see how they have evolved.

I guess you missed all the discussions about the annoying screen advertising. ;D

I'm surprised you aren't familiar with Kyra Sedgwick.  According to IMDB:
Her first brush with stardom came in Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as Donna, the high school sweetheart of Tom Cruise. Two of her roles led to Golden Globe nominations: Miss Rose White (1992) (TV) and Something to Talk About (1995). She met her husband (Keven Bacon) when they played leads in the TV movie _Lemon Sky (1988)(TV)_ .

I thought MISS ROSE WHITE was terrific.

Thank goodness for good news from Craig & Ioana.  He likes his new classes.

When they returned home tired from their trip they found the locks had been changed on the door to the entrance of their building.  It took 30 minutes to contact the landlord who then contacted the new neighbor to let them in.  The landlord never apologized for not letting them know the locks were changed.  This is the same landlord who still has not fixed the refrigerator or anything else he promised to do.

Kitty is fine but the kennel never called to inform them that Yogi was not eating.

They just returned from the vet with him & are very concerned.  He has a fever, is dehydrated & his fur is falling out.  Fortunately, the very tired, vet stayed late to see him.  The test show elevated white (indicating a fever) & red blood (for dehydration) counts.  Of course if the antibiotics don’t work it could be more serious.  He lost a total of 10 pounds while they were gone, and he is thin to begin with.

The good news is he is eating some and drinking now.

So you are the Scarlet Pimp?

I really hoped for the show to have a future.  Is it still being "worked" DR Elmore?

The authors are indeed addressing concerns in a current rewrite.

Just my luck!  I finally get a referral to the hottest-looking surgeon this side of Gray's Anatomy; and I may not have to undergo surgery on my shoulder after all.  The hunk thinks that he may be able to correct the problem with cortisone injections.  Believe me, I begged for a second opinion.

Very stupid of me not to have gotten that.  The one good thing about this is that he won't likely kick Craig out because the dog howls when he isn't there. ;D

Craig would not let me interfere when I was there & we were out maneuvered.  We had to go to his their business to sign the contract & didn't see the work hadn't been done, as we expected it had, at the apartment.  I did tell Craig we should look at it first.

It was a very difficult & exhausting time & didn't get him moved in until the day I left.  Craig was exhausted before he arrived from Bucharest.  He really only minds the broken frig, and of course the hassle with the key.

I guess I've never seen Kyra in anything, although I do think I watched Miss Rose White, I really have no memory of it.  That can't be her real accent, though, can it?  Glad to see my old pal G.W. Bailey and the guy from Das Barbecue.
