TCB-LOL, and good news!

DR Laura, thank you.  I'm more upset Yogi was dehydrated & they didn't notice.  Now that Craig has a car he can look for a different kennel.  This was the only one in the city.

Just my luck!  I finally get a referral to the hottest-looking surgeon this side of Gray's Anatomy; and I may not have to undergo surgery on my shoulder after all.  The hunk thinks that he may be able to correct the problem with cortisone injections.  Believe me, I begged for a second opinion.

Ask him to fill a few of your cavities.

Did you know that the LA production of The Brain won an award?  Someone named Lance wrote me and told me he gave it one - so I think I'll advertise it as an award-winner.  :)

Hmm... Watching "Fat March"... Just because there was really nothing else on that I was interested in watching...

I want to know what the insurance rider is on this show.  Yes, I get the "motivation" behind making these people walk - in high heat - to cover a certain amount of miles in a certain amount of time, but, frankly, when it's hot enough that the soles of your shoes are actually melting, well... That's just plain stupid on everyone's part.

I was thinking the same thing.

The Bishop's Wife is on - I think I'll give that a whirl.

The original? Good idea!    When we lived in Massachusetts I purchased a beautiful expensive hat because of that film. :D

BK, if you keep giving out all these awards, they won't be special, anymore!

Well... I guess then as long as the audience enjoys The Brain, then they might as well express their feelings only in the theatre.  Once they leave, they can keep their enjoyment to themselves.  At least Amazon.com doesn't sell tickets to shows so that no one would have a place to post their reviews.

;)

Seriously, for better or for worse, there is some truth in the old adage, "Any publicity is good publicity."  -And in the inernet age, it's also fast(!) publicity.  And, yes, awards on any level are another form of publicity.  Or at least the culmination of publicity in a sense.

If you don't care about it, then don't mention it.  Bad or good.

You were wrong AGAIN!   ;D

He HAS to be the love child of Esther Williams and Jeff Chandler!

No, I believe he is the love child of Jeff Chandler and Bing Crosby.

And did anyone catch the flap over the "pull ad" for Grease last week?  In quotes running along the "back" of the ad was, "You're The One That I Want", with it being credited to "Variety", "The New York Times", the AP, etc.  They had simply pulled the title of the TV show from all the reviews, and then ran it as what the reviewers said about the show.  Quite creative to say the least.

We received an email today from Keith's cousin saying to check out her photos and videos.  While it was sent from her address she did not send it.

She was spammed by ringo.com.

Topic of the Day...Shows that I like (nothing unique, though):

Battlestar Galactica (it's gritty, good scripts and acting, very good special effects)
Boston Legal (just mostly goofy)
Desperate Housewives (mindless entertainment)
Doctor Who (it's just fun)
Ghost Whisperer (I got sucked into this...I don't know why)
Grey's Anatomy (it's set in Seattle)
Heroes (very good comic book TV show...and eye candy ;))
How I Met Your Mother (for me, three words:  Neil Patrick Harris)
Kyle XY (another one that I just got sucked into)
Lost (I love the backstories and how they all fit together)
Medium (I like the family and especially the children)
Psych (funny buddy comedy)
Torchwood (from England)
Ugly Betty (just good old-fashioned fun)

Shows that I don't like...I don't watch. :)

Thanks all for the luggage vibes. They arrived a couple of hours ago, everything intact!

This worked so well that I'm going to ask for Winning MegaMillions Vibes for tomorrow, Aug 28.

$250 million jackpot, and I will share generously when I win!  :)

Megamillion Vibes for 3D (if I don't win first)!

A small community just west of where my parents live was hit by a large tornado last night.

Odd, I was just there a few weeks ago...

Perhaps you caused it!

Dear boy, this is haineshisway.com - the place where we can rant to our heart's content - we've all done it, and we'll all continue to do it, I'm sure.  What fun would it be if we couldn't do useless rants every now and then?  If there were some sort of reality to these Fringe awards then I'd say bravo.  But, there isn't, at least from what's been told to me.  Like 'em or hate 'em, there is a certain logic to the Tony Awards or any "real" awards presentation.  Not necessarily good logic, but at least logic.  But, if it makes people happy, grand, say I.

And that's what makes horse racing.
