Oh, I meant to add, too, that that's a pretty big group.  Calliope? The jug band?

Yeah, the jug band.  Basically he misses the country twang that the revival had.

The late 60s!  I didn't even know you had reached the late 30s!   ;D

I'm heading toward the late 40s if you must know  :)

DR Cillaliz, firing someone and having them continue to work for you is the craziest thing I've ever heard. That isn't being nice, it's being stupid. If you want to be nice, give her a severance check.

Thanks DR Cillaliz, that makes perfect sense.  That's exactly what I will do on Friday, her next scheduled day to work.

Now that I've cleared that up for myself....

Tell him the Berlin family didn't.  I didn't redo the show because I wanted a job.  I was hired.

The Prego is on aisle three, along with all the other pasta sauces, pasta, and for that matter they've moved all the international foods to that aisle, including (don't ask me why) the kosher foods.

It probably means you're not close and personal enough to have the cell phone number.

I will pass that on to him.  Thanks for your candid-ness, it's very much appreciated.  We must have told him that story several times, but people can be stubborn :)

Gee, I guess not, although I know he didn't HAVE a cell phone when I first met him and didn't have one for years thereafter, nor a computer.  Now he has both.

I still feel quite queasy and I do hope it doesn't linger for the entire day.  I'll probably get a 7-Up instead of Diet Cola today, as I think that's supposed to be calming or something.

Peppermint tea is good also

I am thoroughly embroiled in controversy over at the Film Score Monthly Message Board.

Talk about serendipity. I went there to check out the threads, and discovered that the complete mini series Masada was released on DVD a few days ago (I had the truncated version on VHS).

Masada was my introduction to the work of Clive Francis, who stars as the Tribune/Spy, along with a few other actors...

Now I'm off to Amazon to order it!

Is this like a press release? Is there a press release accessible somewhere that media can use?

MEANWHILE...

I've much reading to do.  The shipment from Jessica's Biscuit finally arrived, so I've six new books to dive into.

(This should keep me out of trouble for a little while.)

Not to mention the arrival of the Doctor Who: New Beginnings boxed set, covering the return of The Master and the switch from Tom Baker's Doctor (the Fourth) to Peter Davison's (the Fifth).  I'm savoring these, one episode at a time... a great warmup to the final three stories of the current Doctor Who season on Sci-Fi.

I have been doing that also by revisiting some classic eppies. I would love to get a copy of the FOX movie that was done some years ago. Granted it was not great but it would be a nice addition to my collection. I have some of each doctor and the new series.

Call him in the morning or his service will explain.

I guess he takes that literally 37 years later.  As long as he still has a service, the lyric isn't outdated.

I'd imagine an answering machine would get overloaded too quickly, and having an actual person taking the messages(and blowing the caller off by not passing it on) is more efficient.
