Ditto "Grey's Anatomy" was quite good, although I'm having my doubts about this continuation of the Izzy/George relationship.  I didn't buy it last season, and I'm less inclined to buy it this season.  My least favorite character is Meredith Gray, the "main" character (as the title implies).  I think she's boring and most unlikely to be the center of so much attention.

UUGGHH!!  I do not like the Izzy/George relationship.  It all just seems so WRONG...well, to me (in my humble opinion :)).

I'd read at the end of last season that the writers agreed that that was a bad idea and that they were going to "fix" it, but in one preview that I saw...

GREY'S ANATOMY SPOILER!!

It looks like George tells Izzy that he loves her! :P

Afterwards we went across the street to Amy's Bread where we discovered *gasp* that there was no more Monkey Cake... all sold out!

We, of course, blamed Jose.

I would also!

On Friday, "Ghost Whisperer" was "on form" and terrific. "Moonlight" seems to be a keeper, too.

And last night, I thought "Desperate Housewives" funny and involving.  What a treat to see new neighbors Dana Delany and Nathan Fillion offering to add some excitement to the lives of the Wisteria Lane set.

The addition of Nathan Fillion (who I love) was almost enough to make me start watching DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, but  not quite.

Keith just called me to Sherlock's deck, and there he was with a big branch from a bush in his mouth wanting to bring it in with him.  When I opened the door he did just that & took it to one of his beds we have scattered around the house.  I had to pry it away from him.

cute...

but not so cute with leaves lying around to pick up....

Gotta love him....

Clearly Torchwood is going to be more Adult (and darker) than its parent DR WHO, and we are really enjoying it.

der Brucer

I have to concur derBrucer from what I have seen, it is darker but the storytelling is very good. I have also been enjoying it.  I am rewatching the episodes a freind of mine sent me a while back. I just wanted to keep quiet until you guys got to see it.

And did you have a nice Chianti as well?  Are you sure that was Eggplant?

Keith and I don't drink red wine, we both get headaches from it.  Keith had Bryan's homemade beer and I had the wine Bryan purchased especially for me.  It was a dry white wine, Coda di Volpe Irpinia.  I've never had it before & it went very well with the dinner, nice and smooth.   :)

Waiting for us when we walked in, very hungry not having eaten much all day.

We loved Bryan's peanut sauce so much he bottled some for us to take home.

That looks wonderful Jane...

May I ask what is wrapped in the leaves?

My father made Brigadier General in the few months between Alaska and Hawaii (or is it Hawaii and Alaska), so I have a 49 star flag that the US Government gave him to commemorate the occasion.  It's hanging in Betsy's sewing room (correctly, I might add--stars on left, which seems to confound most people).

Interesting, I had always wondered if a flag was made for that short period between Hawaii and Alaska's statehood in 1959

DR Laura I was just telling Keith I should take some photos for you.  The leaves are turning colors very quickly this year, and with the winds I fear they won't last long.  Today was lovely.  I'll take the camera with me tomorrow & on my Wednesday hike, hopefully I'll get something nice for you.
