Never fear - the Government is here to help!

USATODAYHere's a thought - tell the stupid airports not to schedule more departures than they can handle -DUH!

And they cut back funds for Amtrak. Can you imagine what the East would be like without Amtrak??

"HHW activity" is sort of like the "police activity" that you hear about on the traffic reports, except without the flashing red lights...

;)

what?? You don't get the flashing red lights??

The Enabler, with a cookie even larger than Levain's. (But probably not as good!)

Hmm... Maybe that's what I'm feeling today: cookie withdrawal.

*And, yes, that Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookie from The Brooklyn Diner was surprisingly good.  And big.

It works like the locket in Annie; you tie one part around DR JoseSPiano's neck, and the other part around the neck of his White Knight, and then...

...they magically meet, and the cookie is reunited whole.

Great review for THE LAST STARFIGHTER!

A very nice review, indeed! Kudos to Fred and Skip!

My DH took that. He sometimes takes a long time to get a photo he likes (causing Larry to jokingly call him a pain-in-the-ass) but then I always realize that it was worth it. I love this picture!

I'm thinking it is like HALF A SIXPENCE, where you give the other half of the cookie to someone you love but from whom you will be parted. When you are reunited, you can join the cookie back together.

Of course, by then it would be old and stale, if not moldy.

The cookie, that is...

I'm thrilled that, on the balance, our trio of NYMF musicals are being so well received!  :)

I was pleased we at least got four positives to outweigh the three negs and think that at least two of the negs might have not been SO neg if they hadn't been there opening night.  No NYMF show should be reviewed on opening night - it's unfair to everyone, and let me tell you I am not one to stack the audience with people who overreact just because they're friends.  That didn't even happen at our final performance when all you lovely people were there - it was just a nice, real reaction by the entire audience.

Starfighter is getting mostly nice reviews, and I haven't seen any negs of Noel's show, although, that said, I think I've only seen one.  What I haven't seen is Noel on this site, which, frankly, I find odd.

Trust me, I don't think there will ever come a day when I won't stop talking about the food wonders of NYC (and elsewhere)... And being more than happy to share those wonders with others.

Agreed.  And even though the HHW contingent was large, it was still only a small percentage of the total audience that evening.

HEROES SPOILER COMMENT

SUMMARY of last night's HEROES from televisionwithoutpity.

http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/portal/site/TelevisionWithoutPity/menuitem.766266d5c663f366b180b41045001d30/?vgnextoid=e09c3f6b1fe55110VgnVCM1000006dc1d240RCRD&vgnextfmt=default&ShowName=Heroes

SPOILER COMMENT on last night's HEROES:

*
*
*

I like to read these summaries in case there is something i missed.

In reading this summary there was one thing i had not noticed.  When the warrior guy with hiro had those arrows in his body (that killed him). Did you guys think that he healed himself or that hiro healed him? I thought the latter. But it makes more sense i think if he healed himself.

For what it's worth:

WIKIPEDIA

Quote
Takezo Kensei (David Anders),[15][21] a legendary warrior, with a spontaneous regenerative ability.

I have yet to see a picture of BJ where he doesn't have food before him.

If Jose is The Enabler, then I think we can dub BJ "The Closer". Any item of food that someone can't finish is passed down the table to BJ, who magically makes it disappear. I think there's one of these in every family...mine was my brother.)

Damn BJ and his hummingbird metabolism!

I hope he doesn't cut off his beautiful hair when he gets home.

Well, BK has westcoastdrama to loathe "The Brain" and FJL and Skip have some jerk named rivington who insists on posting tirades about how awful their show is.  What is it with these asses?  Both smack so much more of personal vendetta than criticism.

And speaking of Levain...

They're sort of hard to see in there due to the waxpaper, but they're there.  In the larger box, six each of the Chocolate Chip Walnut and Oatmeal Raisin; in the smaller box, four each of the Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip.
