The one made by Boiron comes in a small plastic tube; Standard Homeopathic used a small glass vial.

Yes, and I had to confess my ignorance...I had to call the store where I purchased it to find out how to get the pills out.  Makes a lot of sense once you've done it, and I love the part about not touching them.  But not having tried homeopathic before, I just didn't know!  :)

Quote
Sunday, an 84-year-old little lady, very frail, asked to meet me.  She said the musical was brilliant and thanked me for writing it, telling the story, entertaining her.  You must know from previous dispatches that I’ve long hoped to emulate the sound and feel of Bells Are Ringing, and other Jule Styne scores (one of the rave reviews picked up on this).  This was the show’s second lead, Jean Stapleton.

Wow... Jean Stapleton! I've never seen her in anything except All in the Family and a Hercule Poirot (where I'm afraid she was miscast as Mrs. Oliver), but I've always liked her as a person.

How rewarding that must have been for you!  Congratulations!

I guess I'm confused about Miriam's connection to Guy Haines, specifically.

sigh. Sweetheart, Miriam is Guy's wife on STRANGERS ON A TRAIN.  ;)

Sometimes stores will have a little brochure explaining the quirks of homeopathy. It IS needed for newcomers. Sorry, Sing. I probably should have given you more information.

I'd like to get it tabled by the time Eureka has it's season finale tonight.

ALREADY!  :o

Last night we finally watched the 2 hour season finale of BURN NOTICE.  It was very good.  I liked the ending very much, not your typical cliff hanger.

Samantha, feel good vibes!  Did you call in sick or go down there & show them your eyes?

I went down to the courthouse and everyone pretty much had the 'ewww' face on so I talked to the judge and he told me to go home. (I think it helped that I've known him all my life...)

DR edisaurus - I gave the Joe's Shanghai 56th Street location a try for dinner.  I went ahead and ordered the Soup Dumplings with Pork and the Shredded Turnip Shortcakes.  And I probably should have stopped there, but I also ordered the Singapore Chow Mai Fun.  Needless to say, everything was wonderful, and I had a nice bag of leftovers to take home with me.

*And I guess I should also note that the Joe's Shanghai "Uptown" location also comes with "uptown prices".  -At least in regards to the entrees.

Hi DR Samantha. Are your eyes feeling better tonight?

My eyes aren't as itchy as they were this morning and the swelling is going down VERY slowly. This morning I looked in the mirror and about screamed... My eyes were SOOO swollen I couldn't even open them and they were so red and itchy. I have no idea what on earth triggered this.

Let's see. There was the ground crew strike at Heathrow when I was on a theater trip to London in high school.

I also fell victim to a strike in London...a "go slow strike" by the Gatwick airport workers who check you in at customs. I had been up all night before I left, and was already tired. It took us several hours to get through customs, and there were a lot of people like me who figured they'd make a stop at the loo after they got off the plane. It was hot and some people in line were fainting.

The airport staff sent in some people to give us water. Well, we were all very thirsty but at the same time we had to PEE and there was no restroom before customs! They also sent someone dressed in a clown outfit around to entertain the kids while they waited. Needless to say, we were not amused.

When I finally escaped to the waiting room, my editor friend who had picked me up had already left because they'd told him my plane had cleared an hour ago and he figured I had missed it. And he had driven a long way, so he wasn't home when I called him. I was so upset that the man at the pay phone next to me asked if this had caused me any inconvenience. Well, I won't type my response since this is a family site.

It turned out he was a reporteer for one of the London tabloids and the next day I was in the paper in the story "Go Slow Strike Hits Fly-In Yanks". Since I had flown there from NY (I had been attending the New Music Seminar) I thought that he assumed I was a northerner. My editor friend explained that they call all Americans "yanks".

The reporter offered me a ride into London, but I ended up taking the train and my friend picked me up at the station in London.

I think it was the "cootie pillow" on the plane. That's what the lady in front of us called them when asking her traveling companions if they wanted one

As for the Virgin Megastore...  The new Annie Lennox album "Songs of Mass Destruction", Judy Kuhn's "Serious Playground: The Songs of Laura Nyro", and the new OCR of the Grease revival.
