And I'm still agape over your "pins and needles" comment from last night.

What's the buzz?

Wow, someone actually reads my posts.   :o  There were some extremely rare vintage 50s FF photos up from the archives of the San Francisco Examiner.   I won, despite being sniped during the last 3 seconds.

I've been petitioned to be available for jury duty three times. The first time was for magistrate's court, but I got out of it since it was going to be graduation day for my M.A.

The second time I was given a jury summons number and was told to call the night before to see if I was expected to report. I called, and my number was among those not required to report.

The third time, I did have to report. I sat around all day in a HUGE jury room and was never selected to be on any of the juries called. (I think they called three juries that day.)

I began my evening finishing up HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE which I had started last night. Continued to look superb, and I'm still pretty convinced I'll buy all five POTTERs when they're released on Blu-ray in December. Just the most recent one may be enough for now.

BONES had a nice episode tonight, but I didn't find the case as riveting as some others they've done in the past. Ryan O'Neal was back as Temperence's father.

And DAMAGES continues its twisty road toward the season finale. Ted Danson may indeed win another Emmy for this, but I'm not sure which category they'll place him in.

I was on jury duty for two weeks and got called on two horrible child sex abuse cases.  That was enough for this lifetime.

I was in the jury pool once but not selected due to how I feel about domestic abuse.

Finally finished a bunch of long, impassioned telephonic calls and finished Funny Face on DVD.  I'm going to get some chips or something, then will start another movie - I'm drained from all this crap I'm dealing with.  Nothing should be this hard.

OH!

And while I was walking up to Columbus Circle, I ran into the incomparable and very funny Seth Rudetsky.  He was on his way to his evening performance of The Ritz.  I told him I loved one particular bit in the cabaret number, and he appreciated that I actually got it.

*And his 70's hair-do is well... quite 70's.  ;)

That pie piece is HUGE

It was mostly meringue...but for a really HUGE pastry, this takes the cake!

You can't tell, but The Vixter is balancing on the top of a metal pole.

This does not constitute pole dancing, however. Well, unless she IS Polish.
