A TomovOz favorite:

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly,
Lavender's green
When you are King, dilly dilly,
I shall be Queen

For what it's worth (not much) I've never been able to "get into" the Chistiane Noll album.

Lavender's Blue (Dilly Dilly)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly,
Lavender's green
When you are King, dilly dilly,
I shall be Queen

Who told you so, dilly dilly,
Who told you so?
'Twas my own heart, dilly dilly,
That told me so

Call up your friends, dilly, dilly
Set them to work
Some to the plough, dilly dilly,
Some to the fork

Some to the hay, dilly dilly,
Some to thresh corn
Whilst you and I, dilly dilly,
Keep ourselves warm

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly,
Lavender's green
When you are King, dilly dilly,
I shall be Queen

Who told you so, dilly dilly,
Who told you so?
'Twas my own heart, dilly dilly,
That told me so

Of course I'm only old enough to remember the Sammy Turner pop version from 1958/9.

Horses of course!
I've just tried listening to Ms Noll again.

I just find her voice irritating! (Not quite on the Patti level).

FIRE BREAKS OUT IN NEW JERSEY HIGH-RISE LUXURY CONDO BUILDING

JERSEY CITY, N.J. —  Dozens of firefighters battled a fire on Monday night near the top of a high-rise luxury condominium building under construction across the Hudson River from New York City.

Firefighters were having trouble reaching the fire, partly because the building's standpipe, or source of water, reportedly was activated only up to the 15th floor.

Haven't we already done this film?

I wonder if Slingpoo is going to come to the defense of his poor rodent that I so callously slandered last night?

NYTIMES reports on NYMF management:

Quote
How Baboons Think

It is far from clear why humans acquired a strong theory of mind faculty and baboons did not. Another difference between the two species is brain size. Some biologists have suggested that the demands of social living were the evolutionary pressure that enhanced the size of the brain. But the largest brains occur in chimpanzees and humans, who live in smaller groups than baboons.

I just noticed that the letters TCB, while standing for one of our DRs, also stand for Terribly Cute Boi.

TOD:  I love each and every one of 'em; can't possibly pick a favorite.  Likewise, can't pick a favorite performer of Gershwin; there are so many wonderful singers to choose from.

I agree with DR JRand57; my favorite Ira lyric without Gershwin is "The Man That Got Away."
