Jeanne I have never read Laurie King.  Which book to suggest I begin with?  Not having read her I can’t compare her style to make informed suggestions (I know, you asked Ginny, not me :))

Have you read Elizabeth George or Janet Evanowich, Navada Barr, King of Lies by John Hart?  Do you like John Grisham?  I haven't read much of his & my favorite book, The Painted House, wasn’t a mystery.  I do like his style of writing.

That is confidential information.

I've heard that Skipper is furious at Barbie and is willing to talk!

Any comments, MBarnum, before this happens?

I'm also wondering how DR Kerry is.

It is difficult for me not to think of him as I had x-rays of my foot & ankle today.  I'm sure I'm hurting far less than Kerry, however......

Back in June I mentioned Sherlock ran through me when I didn't leave him room to go around he while we were out hiking.  Over time my foot & ankle improved, not completely but were considerably better.  I have taken a turn for the worse this week & finally went to the doctor.  My foot might be broken, or I might have a torn ligament-not sure.  I'm trying to stay calm, without my hikes I don't know what I'll do.  And of course Sherlock needs to get out too.

End of rant.  At this point it could be a bruised bone (not that the doctor suggested it) and all will be fine, so I'm more concerned about DR Kerry.

I wonder if there is such a thing as moose liver pate.

HUNTING MOOSE reports:

Quote
Is it safe to eat organs from my moose like the liver and heart?

The results of a study indicated that consumption of moose liver or kidney may lead to a daily intake of cadmium exceeding recommended levels. Because a normal diet may already exceed advisable levels, the DPHS advises minimizing consumption of these organ meats. Because particularly high cadmium levels have been seen in some moose liver and kidney, the DPHS recommends not consuming these organ meats at all. Heart tissue does not carry this same cadmium risk, and can be considered safe for consumption.

For those who pay no heed to government warnings:

DR Cillaliz that is too funny that we both like the same couple on DANCING WITH THE STARS!

And yep i am surprised.

But i still think that boxer has a lot of potential. His personality sort of rubs me the wrong way a bit. But i like karina a lot and i really think he has potential.

There are some people that to me no matter how hard they try, they could never win (like wayne newton for example).

I"m curious, the judges keep saying this is the best group they've ever had. I don't think so. Do you?

I personally think that there are just more celebs who are better. But i don't feel like there are many who have the potential to be great.  I really don't think marie osmond, jane seymour, or jennie garth will ever be great. And while i like them, i was actually a bit bothered that their scores were so high.

I agree on Marie and Jane...my guess is Jane's score was, in part, because of the loss of her mother, a sympathy score.  I think over all the women are stronger than usual and the men less so than usual.  I really like Sabrina and Melanie on the women's side

Sorry, but we'll just have to agree to disagree about PUSHING DAISIES. I did very much enjoy Kristin's song and the very imaginative routine she had with the janitor. Best part of the show for me by a wide, wide margin.

But the precious narration bothers me to distraction, I find Chuck annoying rather than endearing, and the mystery was so slight and so easily solved that it was no fun.

One more week and then I'll probably be losing this hour of TV and going back to DVDs which would be fine. I need the time.

I agree with you, Matt, on Pushing up Daisies. Just not my cup of tea

Being the nervous type, I'm sure I would be terrible at this game, but I've always wanted to try. Can you believe I've never played it?

I used to practice and practice and practice and is still had trouble

We decided to re-work the begining of A Christmas Carol this year which means the eilimination of the "Phantom" -type overture.  In place I offered to do a quick "Prelude" of sorts with a few themes from the show.  I've started putting things together, and found out the key of "A" seems the most unstable sounding of all keys.  Just thought I'd share

Never heard of the Barbie game. But I still have my Barbie. does that count?  ;)

Oh! we used to play that all the time...I always ended up with Poindexter.  We played Go To The Head of the Class too.  My family was big on board games.

We had a great Civil War game, can't remember the name of it

Once my life settles down a bit and a major project is put to bed, I'll be looking for a buyer for my ORIGINAL Barbie (aka BARBIE #1) (with the original box) and her wardrobe, including the outfit shown on the top right. If any of you know any Barbie lovers who would be interested in purchasing her or her stuff, pls let me know. She's a blonde and in good condition.

We had some of the originals, but man did we play with them. Every day we played Barbies.  We had the house, the car, and tons of clothes, some home made, some store bought. We used to take them swimming in the sink or bath tub, all sorts of goofy things
