Very sorry to hear the news about Richard Valley. I have enjoyed Scarlet Street and have contributed several interviews to the magazine over the years.

I had read that he was home from the hospital this week. Very sad, and I hope that won't mean the end to Scarlet Street...I can't imagine that Richard would want it to end.

READ ALL ABOUT IT

der Brucer

CAPTAIN AMERICA TO RISE FROM THE DEAD!

That is all we need to further blur the line between guns an make-believe.  Why if Captain America can be shot and killed by a sniper's bullet and come back to life; then little Bobby can come back to life after I shoot him!

I once dated a twelve-inch remixed single (and it wasn't the remix that attracted me).

Is "dated" a "euphemism"?

In case any of you haven't seen it, today's Google tribute to Pavarotti:

That is the heaviest "L" I have ever seen.

I just spent a very funny two hours with David Burnham.  What a hoot!  He reminds me a great deal of a young Brent Barrett and we laughed our way through a frustrating round of computer searches for a site to listen to a version of "O Holy Night" that he wanted me to hear.  We did listen to a bit of his album on Barnes & Noble.com and I recommend it.

His hair is no longer short but wild and curly which surprised me.

Wild and curly is so much cuter.

You should tell David to join his many fans here at HHW.  Since Cason seems to have abandoned us, David could be our new hunk du jour.

I have good news, nothing is broken.  There wasn't even a sign of an old fracture in my ankle.

Now I need to find out what is wrong & what can be done to help it heal.  I will be seeing a podiatrist, whom I have no idea.  They said one will be calling me.  I always find that strange, shouldn't I be given several names to choose from :o  Since my regular doctor was off today I didn't protest, just going with the flow.  I don't know who to go to anyway.

WOW!  The MySpace whores seem to be working overtime today.  -I've received six new Friends Request in the past ten minutes!  -Thankfully, hitting "Deny" is an easy task.

OK - I should head back in for tonight's show.  -And, thankfully, no lockout until Monday - if even then.

And Anton Yelchin (Bryd in HUFF) as Checkov.

der Brucer

But didn't Checkov not come onto the show until the second season?  Why would the character really be part of the "early years"??

Those broads who all call Thailand their home have dropped the assault on my page for the nonce.

Actually, DR Nursie, when I first saw David's hair, I thought he was ready for a revival of PIPPIN or GODSPELL.  It was very retro 1970s.

So, before he left I offered him some copies of CDs I'd done.  He looked at Liz Callaway's Loesser album and asked me if I'd done "My Heart Is So Full Of You."  I told him yes, and he told me he loved that track the most.  He got the disc and I got a big hug.

He's certainly been a major part of the show and movies, I understand that, but still... ::)

http://www.afterelton.com/  has two of the funniest blogs I've ever read, one for the weekly TOP CHEF episodes by Steven Frank and one on the current gay storyline on AS THE WORLD TURNS by Brian.  Steven Frank's TOLP CHEF skewers everything about the competition from the feuding contestants to the pissy judges and Padma's Sexy Indian Princess behavior and Brian's blog skewers the hokiness and contrivances of soap opera writing and emoting with a blow by blow account of the over-the-top storyline.

This has been a very difficult day, first with the news of Richard, and then an endless series of annoyances.  I feel like I'm drowning and it's getting more and more difficult to come up for air.

I'm not sure how I feel about the "Early Years".  Isn't that what the TV show was?

I thought they were going to make a movie version of Enterprise.

I did have a nice brunch with Lauren Rubin.  I also have a situation with two people in the fundraiser, both of whom want to do the same song.  I have to give it to the first one who claimed it, but I'm afraid I'll lose the other person over it - maybe not.  I'll call the person tomorrow and lay the cards on the table.  I'd hoped to get person one to do something else, but he knows the song in question, has done it before, and that's that.  Person two also knows the song and has done it, but I have to be fair.  I called person two today and suggested another song I thought would be perfect, but person two didn't like the song.  It also occurs to me I have nothing in the show from Pocahontas, which I now have to rectify.
