cillaliz-

Whatever happened to nice niece Samantha?

She's in Florida with her Aunt Susie (Her mother's sister...I'm her father's sister).  I don't know if she has much computer access or if she's having too much fun to log on.  I talked to her today. She said she's having a good time

Oh, and I meant to mention yesterday that "Poltergeist" is one of my all-time favorite movies.  It's one of the few movies that I saw in a theatre more than once - at least three times.

Damn you, Enabler! Just ordered a copy - and filled out my basket (don't go there) with Cruising and the Collector's Edition of Taxi Driver (which I've never seen). Both Poltergeist and Taxi Driver are on sale for half price)

It's been rainy here all day.  I did make it to my favorite clothing store that is having a major sale. Last time I was there I was good and didn't buy a skirt and jacket I really liked, opting for a set I liked even more.  Well today it was majorly on sale and was still there, so I got it!.

I watched Legally Blonde.  I am very glad we went to it in person. It was much better being there than watching it on TV

When I got in my car to go for coffee this morning I looked down and the odometer said 22222. I thought that was pretty cool

I have a ticket to the Symphony tonight, but I really don't want to go. What a dilemma. Last time I forgot about it and really wanted to go, this time I remember and really don't feel like going.  I feel like I'm catching a cold. This weather isn't helping.

I made chicken noodle soup today, but tried using on of those roasted chickens from the grocery store. It's too greasy and has that funny flavor that those chickens have.  Do I eat what tastes bad or throw it out????

And I blame DR Jose!  It's always his fault.

It's quite cool in Manhattan now.  I believe it's time to drag out the winter bedding and my grandmother's quilt.

Thanks Jane.  I'm actually in a pretty good mood. I've had a slight head ache since getting my flu shot, but I'm glad I got it. The one year I didn't, I got the flu

I think I may skip the symphony.  I'm happy to support them with my season ticket, but I just can't see going when I really don't want to. I think I'll go out and get a decent meal and come home and do some work around the house. My Nephew (Sam's brother) will be here next weekend so it's time to do those cleaning jobs I've been putting off

My favorite film adaptation of his work, the one that comes closest to capturing the novel and yet works as a film is The Dead Zone, one of my favorite films and one of my two favorite Cronenberg movies.

And you're no help either! Put that in my cart as well.

DR Cillaliz that is very cool about the clown from TAR.  When you mentioned the soup it reminded me that everyone here is sick too. It's like we are on our second round of getting this crap. Ughh! :(

And re: the flu shot. I'm not sure if i will get one this year.  IT seems like often times when i get one i then get flu like symptoms right after.

Jennifer you are allergic to the flu shot!

To avoid a reaction you can get the shot in small doses, just don't get one if you aren't feeling well.  Otherwise I suggest you skip it.

I thought of you, DR Jennifer, since you are such a major TAR fan. I was very glad I could get a photo to post. I have to say he seemed like a very genuinely nice guy.  Of course he has been shot out of a canon more times than anyone in history, so he is a unique individual.  He was also much cuter in person than on TV!

I have never seen Carrie & don't have an interest in doing so.  If Keith turned it on I would be a good sport and watch it.  I might even like it. ;D

Not even in my most sadistic mood would I ever ask you to watch Carrie! (It's a great film, but not for the squeamish.)

And, of course, ALL the commercials.

They sure destroyed any rhythm the show might have!

Oh, they did!  It was hard to tell even when the real "intermission" was.  And the "behind the scenes" reporters were real lame.
