I put on another motion picture on DVD and was out like a light for about seventy minutes.

Sorry, I stepped away to make dinner and the word got out that I'm going to Pittsburgh and my other niece, Debi, called me to ask if it was true.

It looks like I am going.  I wanted to stay at the same hotel but Debi wants me to come to her house.  I never expected that.

Bi-Mart is an interesting store and far from fancy.  You need a membership card to shop there, but anyone can get one.  They aren't your usual drug store....http://www.bimart.com

Did you ever drop the soap there, DR TCB?   ;)

Are you kidding?  When I was younger, the guys would drop the soap for me.

Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?

No, it is apparently a slow month.

DR Danise - I know that you'll most likely be busy, and I'll have "Black Friday" at Borders to deal with, BUT, let's try to find a way to hook up while you're in the 'burgh.

LA Tunnel mess:

LA TIMESder Brucer

I'm glad we weren't part of that mess while driving to L.A.  I'm sure we go past that tunnel all the time but have never gone through it.  I'm not even sure where it is.  I asked a friend and she said she only went in once, by mistake when she didn't get over fast enough.

Td, since Danise left I removed my post, and emailed her directly, asking if she has the day after Thanksgiving off.  She actually posted she will be going to Pittsburgh over Veteran's Day weekend.  I was just curious if one holiday might be better.  I expect she prefers to go on her Mother's birthday.

I am watching LEGALLY BLONDE.....but didn't watch the first hour so I may have missed the UPS man.

The hosts, as has been written here....are worthless....but the show is sweet and fun.

Leading lady seems to be doing a LOT of Nicole Sullivan schtick, though.

Good Evening!

Well... I went by the theatre to check on the rehearsal schedule for this week, and ended up having a nice chat with the associate conductor.  Then I walked over to The York, and found out that tonight's performance of The Body Beautiful was Sold Out - and the waiting list was already quite long.  So...  I just walked around midtown for a while enjoying the wonderful Fall evening. :)

I'll be at the Borders in the Pittsburgh Mills; I would think that the Borders you went to was in East Liberty - which is a truly incredible store in one of the worst locations in Pittsburgh.

Td, That's the one we went to, and yes it was a very nice Border's.  It wasn't a very pretty area but we seemed to go there a number of times.   I think there was also a Whole Foods around there.

We seemed to go everywhere around Pittsburgh.  I don't think I ever drove so much in my life.

It looks like I'm coming up on Friday and will be in Pittsburgh at about 7:30 PM.  I'll be going home on Monday early in the morning.

I'm sorry that Friday would be a bad day for you TD because I could have come up a bit sooner so we could meet then.  I'll be coming up later because it will be a good time for Debi to pick me up at the airport.  I guess you don't get that weekend off like we do down here.  Oh course, I do work for the government.

Good heavens - I just saw the UPS man in LEGALLY BLONDE.

Good heavens.

AND - is that exercise girl's vocal taped, because her singing doesn't reflect her over exertion at all....

Ah... Andy Karl.  *They sell t-shirts that say, "I've got a package for you".  Would you like one?

As for the exercise girls' vocal.. She really sings it.  However, it does sound like it may have been "sweetened" for the broadcast.  But, I will say that that is one of the healthiest ensembles on Broadway right now, so she's been conditioned well.
