I'm pleased you are improving and thank you for the much needed laugh.

This morning I broke my left wrist in 2 places.  Keith said he didn't think it was broken, the nurse at emergency would have bet $50 bucks it wasn't, the doctor said it wasn't.  I knew what i felt, hoping all the time i was wrong.  Thankfully the x-ray technicians did a good job or the second break might have been missed.

Oh my God, Jane.  Are you in pain?

After doing a cost/benefit analysis I have decided that it just isn't cost effective to hire someone right now.  Maybe later.  I'll talk to Martha tomorrow so she can start looking for a job somewhere else.  At least she hasn't started yet and wasn't planning to for another 2 weeks...and that was only a couple hours a day

Dear sage & wise TCB..... well, "2 kinds" could at least cover me and then everyone else.

Boy oh boy.... a fellow just tries to eat healthy, and the slings and innundo that he has to endure.... :o

Well, I was wondering if one of them was the guy working on the kitchen.

You have your bear, you have your twink, you have your Latino, you have your euro, you have your androgynous. . .

Well, I think I would settle for a t-d bear.

Cool, I just realized that Avenue Q is in Des Moines the night before I speak at the FPD seminar....and since the FPD is paying for my hotel room, I'm going to get a ticket. I always meant to see it in NYC...I went to ticketmaster and the secret word thingy I had to type in reminded me of FJL....it was .....gouty

Oh my God, Jane.  Are you in pain?

not really  :D  since it has been immobilized i can't accidentally turn it in the direction that hurts-too much anyway.

i'm feeling more sorry for myself at the moment, and very bad for keith.  he does most of the work around here to begin with and now i can't even wash the dishes.

i also want to wiggle, move and scratch very, very much.

 :D  thank you.

boy, it's a good thing i didn't order that nurse outfit debrucer posted-i'd never be able to wear it now, plus keith would have laughed so hard so hard he would have given himself a hernia and we would both be disabled ;D

I guess no-one expects shirts to be "in" these days.
At least gout is still relevant. (unfortunately)

well mbarnum and ron......., just as i was about to leave for our hike i got a call to meet sherlock's friend boulder at the dog park.  they were having a great time playiny and running together, straight towards me.  suddenly i realized they weren't stopping or going around me.  instead of yelling out STOP, or turning my body i put up my arm.  not only did i feel the crack, i swear i heard it.  i kept telling myself my ankle made the same sound and it wasn't broken.

;D i emptied one and loaded a few new dishes....but bending over makes it hurt, plus I'm supposed to keep it elevated, which i'm doing right now, along with icing it.

DR MusicGuy - It's good to see that progress is being made on the homefront - at least on the kitchen-front.

Now... Do you have any more pics of the guy who's working on your kitchen?  ;)

Nursie! What a calamity!  Is it a huge cast? Has Keith signed it?  Are you suing the owner of the mutt that ran over you?

I've been watching the end of PROJECT RUNWAY's second (???) season, so I'm feeling rather shallow at the moment.  I love the way everyone on the show, when they mention Olympus Fashion Week, pronounces it as if it were the Holy Grail or the equivalent of taking communio  at a mass presided over by Jesus himself.  Now I'm watching UGLY BETTY and feeling much better.
