Got some things watched this afternoon but I still have MY NAME IS EARL left on the DVR. I should be able to get to it when I go back down. It's only a half hour show, so 20 minutes isn't much out of the evening.

I began my afternoon with LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. Amy Acker and Jim Gaffigan were the guest stars. Pretty good episode with some sad deaths that could have been avoided.

Next came Thursday night's SMALLVILLE. Realy dislike new character Kara, don't like what they did with Chloe and Jimmy, and find Lana such a dislikable character now. All in all, a frustrating episode.

THE OFFICE was hilarious. Dwight's beet farm as a B&B. Andy courting Angela. Oscar giving Michael advice about declaring bankruptcy. Classic stuff.

Good Afternoon!

I'm back from my brunch with DR elmore - another good meal with a good friend.  And I'm also back from a trek through Central Park.  What an absolutely perfect day for a walk in the Park!  A cool but not cold temperature, lots of sun, and because of the rain we had yesterday, the air in the park felt and smelled great.  -Or something to that effect.  Alas, while walking across the Sheep Meadow, I did manage to find out why people weren't sitting in certain spots: the ground was still soft and wet from the rain.  In any case, I did end up sitting on a bench for a while reading the rest of this month's "Gourmet" magazine (and I think I'm in the mood to cook Thanksgiving dinner now!), as well as take a brief unexpected nap with the sun filtering through the trees.  I Love New York!

And now I'm waiting for my friend, Dan, from New Hampshire.  He was supposed to get in around 2:00.  He was going to drive down to Norwalk, CT, and then take Metro-North in from there.  Alas, he texted me about half an hour ago to tell me that he's still caught in traffic in Massachusetts!  So... I have no idea when he'll be getting in.  *Of course, his original plan was to drive to Boston, then take the Acela in from there.  Ah, well.

DR Jose - sounds like a delightful afternoon in NYC!

I just had a call from DH Richard, who's on his way home from Wisconsin.  He was calling from West Lafayette, Indiana, which means that he should be home in time to see most of the Michigan-Illinois game (not that he cares as much as I do!)

This David Copperfield thing is interesting.  The cops seized 2 million in cash as evidence of sexual abuse of some sort?  How on earth does 2 million in cash prove that?

His annual earnings from Entertainment alone are about 57 million; so him having a cash stash of 2 Mil is like one of us with a family income of $28,570 having a cash stash of $1000 - nothing strange at all!

"Home On The Range" charming and yes a lovely score.

A very long way above "Barnyard" IMHO

See y'all when I get home!

Heading down now. I must first mop the kitchen floor (will be glad to get back on my regular timetable next week). Then, back to the den for evening viewing.

OZ Derek and I were going to buy the "Home On The Range" soundtrack but decided to wait until it was issued locally.  I know why he didn't but my reason is I had no Derek to remind me.  I miss the little guy a lot.

It is warm here today. I still have two errands to run: flowers to the cemetery and a set of keys to make.

That's pretty, Tomovoz.

Did you know we have quite a few Australian plants that grow out here in the desert?

I guess I am not surprised that they do Dear Reader Laura. Our whole garden has to survive without much water.  We are not allowed to use fresh water for plants (if that makes sense).

You learn which plants are drought tolerant and which ones the rabbits avoid eating!

I get a flu shot every year because many of my clients are in jail or will be if they don't make a court date, so they are there even if they are very sick with the flu.  There are also a lot of people in jail with TB.

I am not even in jail!

I don't think it's so strange he had the stash, I wonder why the cops should be able to seize it as evidence of a sexual assault

I'm roasting 2 turkey thighs and making rice and cranberry sauce.   Adam will be eating at his meeting so I'm making dinner for myself.  Guess I'm in a Thanksgiving sort of mood too
