I've got to get der Brucer roused, if we're going to get to the store.  I pulled a pork tenderloin out of the freezer, but need goodies to go with it.

I just won't tell him it's teriyaki glazed.  He keeps saying he hates hates hates teriyaki.   ::)

it's also Macbeth's birthday; I'm sure Lady M is sacrificing a child somewhere in my hometown to celebrate.

Two HD questions for all those out there who are hooked up to it.

I saw in Costco today a HD player for $189.00 that is about $160 less than it was a a while ago. The Blu Ray is about $450.

HD seems to be a good price but which version will become dominate? (I hope this isn't beta vs vhs all over again)

I have a wide screen HD ready prokection TV but I don't think I have the connection input that is need is there another way to connect an HD or Blu Ray to my TV set?

The film stars the newly buff Shah Ruk Khan, who I know DR TD is familiar with!

In Photobucket, there's a tab to "create avatar" and it's pretty cool!

I did not hob nob with candidates  today, I may do that tomorrow.

Today I spent the day with my mother and father.  They came to visit for the first time in ages.  They hadn't seen the office and wanted to do some shopping. So we went to Olive Garden for lunch and then to the mall - It was a total zoo, there were some special sales going on and the place was packed.  Then we went to Sam's Club so mom could stock up on food. Then to Culver's for a frozen custard sundae and then they dropped me off and headed back home.   It was a nice day.

Seriously, folks. . .

I met a perfectly marvelous girl this afternoon, HHW's own DR Danise.
We met outside of Borders in The Pittsburgh Mills, that humongous shopping mall, a few miles from my home.
After a couple of quick photos outside, we ventured into the cafe, with DR Danise's niece, Debbie, where we drank coffe, chai lattes and caramel lattes while devouring asiogo pretzels, EggNog loaf cake and GingerBread Cheesecake - my hips are wider already!
Then we perused the aisles, where I found a copy of Terry Pratchett's novel MASKERADE, which I think she will love, since she is a big POTO fan - and Pratchett nails POTO, LES MIZ and many other stage musicals.
Then off to the cookbook aisle to peruse many, many cookbooks - enough cookbooks to get Da Niece down onto the floor to read.
Then we took an amazing journey through the mall itself, stopping in various an sundry stores - San Francisco Music Box, i.e - and along the way found a brand new store which will only be open for the season selling used dvds $6.99 each or 3 @ $18.00 - so many dvds were purchased.  DR Danise bought me a copy of DR Charles Pogue's HERCULES, and I (and DR Danise) also bough THE THORN BIRDS, and two French & Saunders dvds.
I truly enjoyed being with these lovely ladies and I sincerely hope that DR Danise will return to the burgh, soon, and that we can really get together and paint the town!

I have a ticket to the symphony tonight, but I really don't feel like going. I haven't gone once this year. Apparently neither have many other people. Attendance is way down. Tonight is the rat pack music with soloists singing (don't know if they are impersonating) the rat pack.  Honestly, I'd rather go listen to the symphony play something more traditional.

A friend of mine was Frank Sinatra's photographer in the early 60s. He's going to show his photos tonight, so that may be worth seeing.

DR td, love the photos of you, DR Danise, and niece.  What a great day for all of you.

DR Ginny, you have to find out for me where the nearest equivalent around Middletown is to the late CD place near the mall.  CD Connection, was that its name?
