I had a wonderful nap in the hammock after two Bloody Marys. ;)

I had my first Bloody Mary when I was in LA this past April, at the home of Van Dyke Parks---prepared by the man himself!

After that, Greg, friend Susan and I had a sumptuous Chinese dinner with bk and Adrianna, sampling those dishes we'd heard tell about on this here site.

The morning had even included a lovely brunch given by the Randy Newman equivalent to HHW. (And almost as popular a site as HHW!)

What a lovely, magically perfect day that was!

LOL Woody.  I guess you are able to miss dinner as you didn’t tell her what time you are working, just that you are working Thursday.

What did the Grandlands think of LION IN THE WINTER?

Thank you DR TCB.  Amazing how good makeup makes me look so much younger than I was.

I'm still trying to fathom Matt Damon as the sexiest man alive.

I didn't vote for him!

"Girl" is one of those L & Mc Gems that people forget about it.
"I'm Looking Though You" is also a lovely song.

"Rubber Soul" was a remarkable album.

I went to the mountains today to see my Dad and take dozens of cans of left-over paint to their community theatre to use for sets.

My Dad was propped up in bed in full OSU regalia. After last week, I was very happy that they won!

Tomorrow morning early I don my gay apparel and become a Puritan.  I will try to get someone to take a photo.

Wherever did you find gay apparel. (Not be confused with a peril - which may be a DR Jose cruise reference)

Good evening. It's been a busy day indeed. Much cleaning, a few outdoor chores and grocery shopping.  Tomorrow I'm going to my parents' house and will get to see my grand nephew Gabe.  I'm really looking forward to it. Then I'll drive back that night. Thanksgiving day I'm going there for the day again. And Saturday I'm going to go spend the day with a really good friend at the lake.   So, it will be a little family, a little friends and sleeping in my own bed every night.
I'm happy with this arrangement

Wherever did you find gay apparel.

Aside from my own closet, you mean?

The church rented my costume from a place in New Haven - along with the ministers.  The lead minister is supposed to be arriving tomorrow morning in front of the church on horseback.  Oh, they're taking this thing WAY seriously.  Of course, by tomorrow morning we're supposed to have snow cover here.

Tomorrow we are going to set up my mom's christmas tree and hang her outdoor decorations.  She normally waits until after Thanksgiving, but she needs help to do it now and so tomorrow we'll get it done for her. She's pretty excited about hauling out the holly.

Dog Bosco and I drove mom two hours south to meet up with the Southern Oregon contingent who, after we all ate a nice lunch, brought her the other hour and 1/2 to Medford where she will spend the holiday week as she requested.

I told her she liked the Southern Oregon family better then her Northern Oregon family! LOL!

DR JMK, I also prefer Brasil '66's FOOL ON THE HILL over the Beatles version...in fact i had forgotten that the Beatles had even done that song.

Thanks Jane.  One thing I told my parents, which is true, is that Callie only has about a solid week or so being totally back on track and doing very well.  I don't want to have to rely on the cat sitter to care for her right now. By Christmas she'll have over a month on the right track and I'll be more comfortable leaving for a night or two.
