Well, you've read the notes, the notes were foolish, and now it is time for you to post until the foolish cows come home.

Speaking of TWIN PEAKS, has anyone other than I read Mark Frost's Sherlock Holmes' novels, THE SIXTH MESSIAH and THE LIST OF SEVEN?  I found them to be quite delightful.

Here I am, up at 6AM, editing my demo reel for a deadline of Monday and still lacking key elements. I asked the various producers weeks ago for their comp reels and have received less than half, so now I'm having to badger them, which I hate. What a revoltin' development THAT is!

The highlight of my day will be moving all the containers out from under the bed and moving the mattress, box springs and some of the furniture out of the bedroom so we can replace the rug underneath it all with a new rug.

We didn't mean to go shopping yesterday...we were only looking for curtain rods and ended up with a big rug! But I had been searching for one like that for weeks and it was a good price!

DR LAURA thanks for sharing the neon flamingo and pyramids....interesting!

And of course they built that dam especially as a set for 1957's THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN, but then left it at the request of the locals.

And the word of the day is: DEIPNOSOPHIST!
Peter Palmeri, the Polynesian pole vaulter, often found himself dining alone - he would have dined with many a pulchritudinous pretty, but his POISONED PITHS too often kept him from being a DEIPNOSOPHIST.

I had a hard time sleeping last night.  Switching my room around to accomodate the bookcases meant moving my reading light and my alarm clock from the left side of the bed to the right - the night stand has now taken over all the duties formerly performed by the desk.  This meant that I found myself sleeping on the right side of the bed.  I could have handled this by myself easily, but the dogs got confused.  Fletcher, in particular, was insisting on sleeping to my right, which he could not do because there was no room on that side.

So he retaliated by peeing on the floor.

This led to my throwing him out of my room, and insisting that he stay out.  He kept trying to come back in, and I had to tell him no, he'd been bad and couldn't sleep on my bed.  This went on for a couple of hours.

I think I got enough sleep for the night, somehow.  We'll see how I get through work today.

TOD:

I haven't made chili for a while.

Oh, look, I bought a nice piece of beef last night!  It's just sitting there in the fridge, waiting to be cut up into nice chunks and be made into chili!  This sounds yummilicious!

(It's a good thing I don't have a craving for sushi right now... Making good sushi is probably beyond my cooking skills.)

Saturday morning greetings!  Just saw DH Richard off to Clermont County on church business and I have a few hours until it's time to pick up my mom for the Mamma Mia! matinee that's her early birthday present.  She'll turn 89 on Tuesday while she and a bunch of other senior citizens are on a bus trip to Branson, MO, for the week.

DR FJL - on last night's Numb3rs the character played by Wil Wheaton was Miles Sklar, the wealthy comic mogul.  It took a while to see any resemblance to Wesley Crusher and DH Richard was surprised when I pointed it out.

DR Danise, Weight Watchers seems to have worked out very well for our E&T DR Jason!
Maybe I shall have to give it a try if just cutting my meals in half and the treadmill don't work.

My niece, Debi, might be joining us here on HHW.  I showed her the site when I was in Pittsburgh and told all about how wonderful you people are.

Hi, Danise, and other potential dieters!  If I went with a plan, it would probably be Weight Watchers.  For the time being, though, I'm just going to try to decline second helpings and cut down on sweets.  Finding time to exercise is a challenge to me and I sit too much, driving to work and back and at my job.

Off to Massachusetts this afternoon for a memorial on Sunday for my cousin.  She had loved art, so the memorial is being held at an art museum near her home.

It's likely that I'll be generally E&T from 1 pm today until Sunday night, since I don't know what my internet access situation will be.

Cilla - "ENCHANTED" SPOILER BELOW

BTW, obviously, feel free to stop talking about this if you feel I'm over-analyzing a harmless and purely entertaining film.  (I generally love fantasy films with happily-ever-after endings in which to escape.)

SPOILER AHEAD

I'm not saying the hopelessness with the real world that i interpreted in the ending of the story was anything intentional by the creators of the film, but in my analysis, it somehow worked out that way when I thought about how the couples had ended up.

As to the Banks couple in ENCHANTED, wouldn't they have stayed angry and bitter had it not been for the chance intervention of the fairy-tale character?

I wasn't a TWN PEAKS fan when it originally aired, but most of my friends loved it. I tried to watch it several times, but it just struck me as trying to hard to be weird for the sake of being weird.

I do agree that it has paved the way for the other out of the ordinary shows on the air right now. It would be interesting to see it again.
