-And then I have another get-together with my friend, Paul, who's in town this weekend from Florida.

Is that a euphemism?

My 89-year-old mother needs my attention today.  She needs me to:

1)  Set up a Yahoo! email account for her

and

2) Take her shopping so she can buy Scotch

I hope when I'm that age those are the kind of needs I have.

Jose - will you be at the 2:00 SUNDAY IN THE PARK?

That's still sort of up in the air. I will be heading uptown in a few, and then I'll know?  Why? -Should I be checking my voicemail? ;)

I don't beleive there is 30% off of anything on that man!

Well, that doesn't mean he offers a discount from time to time.

OK - I should log out of here - while strains of Babes in Toyland and Oh, Lady, Lady play gloriously in the background...

Well, I am hoping that I can hold off until tomorrow to see my doctor.  I really can't afford to go to the Emergency Room today.  Thursday when I got home from work, when I was changing into my play clothes, I noticed that I had what is probably a spider bite on the upper inside of my arm.  if would be just below my bicep (If you could find my bicep).  It was red and a little puffy, and about the size of a dime.

I have been watching it carefully, because about ten years ago I was bitten by a spider that turned out to have been a brown recluse (similar to elmore).  By day three, my arm looked like Popeye's arm.  I originally ask my doctor if it was possible to find another brown recluse to bite the other arm, because I really liked the effect.  Fortunaely, or unfortunately, sanity prevailed and he lanced the bite and gave me some heavy-duty antibiotecs.

Well, although this bite is not quite so dramatic, it is now about the size of a quarter, very red, and hot to the touch.  I was hoping that the five weeks of antibiotecs that I had ingested since the start of December would have cut the poison, but apparently not.

LOL.

Humor aside, TCB and ELMORE are two of our DRs who don't need any more problems right now!

PROBLEMS BEGONE VIBES to you both!

Good morning, all!  Yep, let's hear it for our DR Jose, who's given me printer access.  I am content.

Yesterday afternoon, I junked my piano. Knowing it had been a breeding ground for the bedbugs made me leery to keep it around the apartment, so my neighbor Mark and I toted it out of the apartment, down the elevator and into the basement.  Mark's wife, who's overdramatic in her good moments went around proclaiming that the elevator was filled with bedbugs, so I vacuumed it and sprayed the floor with pesticide. Then another tenant Jaymie, hearing Mark's wife's claims of bedbugs in the elevator, laid me out for being a crappy neighbor and infesting the basement with bedbugs, all of this before the building's super and others.

My defensive comment was that Mark and I couldn't have carried it out of the buidling and I wasn't paying for a crew to move it further since I blamed the building's management for letting the bug problem go too long with no notification. However, the super, his wife, a Ch9nese waiter and I were able to get the piano out of the cellar and into the alley where junk is kept. The super asked if he could have the piano and I said yep.  He's going to have the exterminator go through it and see if it's salvageable. I'm glad it's out of the apartment.

So, last night I slept well, but there was indeed a bedbug on me this morning and I killed it. I continue the cleaning, sweeping, laundry, etc. and I do believe this issue will be resolved shortly. I am sick of it.

This morning, I met DRs Jose, edisaurus, and DH Greg at Barney Greengrass for breakfast, and had lox and bagel with cream cheese, tomato and onion: very tasty. It was a lovely visit and they all came to Toyland with me to check it out.  DR Jose set up my iMac with the office printer (yay! hurray!) and we listened to some unreleased BABES IN TOYLAND, LADY OF THE SLIPPER, and OH LADY! LADY! It was a loverly visit.

How does that old saying go?

Take your mother to the liquor store and she can procure scotch for one day.  Hook your mother up to Yahoo and she can procure her own darn scotch for the rest of her life!

DR elmore3003, I feel very badly about the loss of your piano.  I hope you can make do - I am sure it was a great convenience to have one there in your apartment.   HUGS to you!  :(

DR Matt H. - I don't say it often enough, but thank you for the timely television scheduling reminders!  I do want to see both the programs you mentioned that are airing tonight.

I do miss the piano, which I bought in 1971, but I was saying to our DR Jose that maybe I should buy a keyboard in a couple of months as a substitute.

What the heck - they make very good ones now, and you're on a spending spree anyway - though not voluntarily!   :-\

DR TOMOVOZ,
Just added THE STREET to my Netflix queue. Probably won't view it for a week or so. Have you seen it yet?

BTW, I LOVE EASTENDERS! I've been watching it for years. And I'm not usually a soap fan.

Who ran away with the fershluganah spoon and who jumped over the moon?

Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle,

The cow jumped over the moon,

The little dog laughed to see such fun,

And the dish ran away with the spoon.
