No the funny, wide eyed with wonder,  filled-with-the-joy-of- life-and-love one

Thanks for the info.  I don't have the Jack Carson version, just the concert version with Larry Kert and Maureen McGovern.  By the way, is this the album that you have?:

Again, here's what I just got:

I wonder why there are two versions??

Yes, I have the top one. I'm not sure why there would have been two unless the second one was a special release with a sponsor-linked logo on it.

Setup, cooking, serving, cleanup?  Is that really so much to ask?    And wearing that cute little French maid outfit would sure be a bonus!   :D

For Sing or Laura??   ??? ???

Well, here's another ask BK or DR question:  I just got a screener of the Branagh film Peter's Friends, an MGM release.  It has the standard MGM packaging.  But when the DVD starts, it has the 20th Century Fox Home Video logo.  I don't think I've ever seen a shared Fox/MGM release before, but maybe I'm just not remembering right now (not unusual, considering my head exploded earlier today).  When did Fox acquire MGM titles, or vice versa?

Fox is now the distributor of MGM-controlled films. This has been in effect for at least half a year, I believe.

I hope the day went better for DR JMK in the afternoon.

No new PWOJECT WUNWAY tonight for some reason.

I don't know why not, but I knew there wasn't a new episode. That's why it wasn't in my TV Reminder this morning.

However, I did forget to mentiona new RENO 911! this morning.

I had to go back and check on a few things on the CRIMSON TIDE Blu-ray, so that's how I began my evening of viewing.

I am assured that these days everything works with everything else.

I then watched a bunch of NCIS episodes out of the DVD box set. Having watched and written up that CRIMSON TIDE Blu-ray, I just wasn't in the mood to take any more notes.

One of the episodes I watched was the one where McGee was trying to protect his sister from a murder rap.

The mysteries are actually better than I remembered some of them being.

I still think Lauren Holly is a terrible actress.

Oh, another I watched and enjoyed was the one where Ziva fell in love with a man dying of radiation poisoning. A very poignant episode.

I ended my evening watching tonight's LAW & ORDER. Boy, they certainly took it off in a totally different direction than it seemed to be going at the beginning.

Love the newly revised LAW & ORDER!

I don't know about how well peripherals might or might not work, but I've heard that it's a lot easier for users to switch from a PC to a Mac than from a Mac to a PC. :)

I had a Mac many years ago, but in those days you were either in the Mac world or the PC world. My clients were 90% in PCs and I had to be compatible, so I bought the Dell I'm still using and moved to the PC world. As for the OS, Macs have always been more user-friendly, thus, yes, it's usually easier to go from PC to Mac than vice-versa.

As most of you know, I HATE MICROSOFT!

DR TOMOVOZ,
THE STREET arrived today and I gave it a try. Fine cast, fine production, but the writing is...a bit strange, IMO. A lot of unhappy people, often behaving badly, and finding themselves in rather hopeless situations. I found it just too depressing.

Has anyone else seen this show? (BBC, 2006)

THINGS THAT HALLMARK CARDS DON'T SAY

My tire was thumping.

I thought it was flat

When I looked at the tire...

I noticed your cat.

Sorry!

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Heard your wife left you,

How upset you must be.

But don't fret about it...

She moved in with me.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Looking back over the years

that we've been together,

I can't help but wonder...

"What the hell was I thinking?"

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Congratulations on your wedding day!

Too bad no one likes your husband.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

How could two people as beautiful as you

Have such an ugly baby?

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I've always wanted to have

someone to hold,

someone to love.

After having met you .

I've changed my mind.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.

I never believed in Hell until I met you.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am...

That you're not here to ruin it for me.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Congratulations on your promotion.

Before you go...

Would you like to take this knife out of my back?

You'll probably need it again.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Happy Birthday, Uncle Dad!

(Available only in Tennessee, Kentucky & West Virginia)

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Happy birthday! You look great for your age.

Almost Lifelike!

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

When we were together,

you always said you'd die for me.

Now that we've broken up,

I think it's time you kept your promise.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

We have been friends for a very long time ..

let's say we stop?

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'm so miserable without you

it's almost like you're here.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.

Did you ever find out who the father was?

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Your friends and I wanted to do

something special for your birthday.

So we're having you put to sleep.

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So your daughter's a hooker,

and it spoiled your day.

Look at the bright side,

it's really good pay

Good Evening!

I'm back from the theatre, where it appeared to be Broadway Celebrity Night: Idina Menzel, Taye Diggs, Laura Benanti, Anthony Rapp, Marc Shaiman, etc.  DR FJL and I even ended up sitting just a seat away from my favorite casting director, Jay Binder - who had very kind words to say about DR FJL's ever-lovin' Skip.  I even ran into a friend of mine from D.C. who was up in the city for a few days for some auditions.

...And then on the train ride home, I happened to run into the keyboard crew from The Little Mermaid.  Talk, talk, talk, talk.  :)

Speaking of cooking, der B bought some challah a couple of days ago, and suggested it would make great French toast.

So, I'll be combining that with sausage and fruit.  An easy dinner for tonight.

Challah makes some of the best French Toast!  Egg Bread dipped in more eggs!  YUM!  Challah French Toast is a staple of most diner menus here in NYC.  OH!  And it makes a great bread pudding too!

Ben, I'm glad you're happy with your XP, but don't fear Vista. My new office computers are both Vista and all my old software works as well as my peripherals. I just had to download a couple patches and Vista goes to the net, looks for the patches and downloads them for you.  In general I'm very happy with it. It does a few annoying things, but they are mostly like asking for permission to change anything and I could probably turn that off if I wanted to

That was the first thing I turned off when I got Vista.   ;D

It's not traumatic at all.  I made the switch a few years ago, and the learning curve was very fast.  Very fast.  As for your peripherals, they should all be able to make the switch too.  Just check the company's online sites to see if they have Mac drivers. If your peripherals are USB-enabled, then they should be Mac-compatible.  *I have a portable printer that I wish I could use with my Mac, but it uses a parallel port connection - which is not a Mac thing.  And the audio ports are the same for PCs and Macs.
